What will stop me getting my cashback

  • Cashback is eligible only on nbn & mobile services (excludes eSIMs). Cashback is ineligible on Bundle deals and on all other products & services.
  • Effective 01/06/2026 - For NBN purchases, cashback is eligible for new or returning dodo NBN customers. A new or returning dodo NBN customer is someone that is no longer a dodo customer and currently has no active NBN service with them. To be eligible for cashback, you must: (1) activate your NBN service within 30 days of signing-up, and (2) remain on the service for at least 60-days from the activation date.
  • One Dodo account is allowed per person. This is subject to fair usage and a single person/account should not be used to make purchases on behalf of other people.
  • Orders must be completed wholly online, and not negotiated via phone/chat etc.
  • After the initial tracking notification, Dodo has an extended validation period. Cashback will not be redeemable for approximately 175 days after signing up. Dodo has implemented this policy, and is beyond the control of TopCashback.
  • Cashback is ineligible on use of any coupon codes not advertised on our platform.
  • Cashback is ineligible on use of gift cards, vouchers, or store credit for partial or full payment. Cashback is also ineligible on purchase of gift cards.
  • Cashback is ineligible on purchases made via the retailer's mobile app.

What else is essential

  • If purchasing both an nbn service and mobile service, this must be done as two separate transactions in order to receive cashback on each individual service. Signing up to more than one product in a single transaction may cause tracking to fail.
  • Engaging with plugins such as Honey, AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole, VPNs, DNS AdGuard, and browsers such as Brave may prevent your order from tracking.
  • Accept and allow all 3rd party cookies on the retailer's page if requested.
  • Return to TopCashback to click the 'Get Cashback' button for each new transaction.
  • Transactions must be completed solely & wholly online and must not be assisted or negotiated via phone/chat/email. Failure to do so will cause tracking to fail and/or have cashback declined.

For better tracking, use the TopCashback app, click the "Get up to $120 Cashback" pink button to the dodo website (not app), use mobile data (not Wi-Fi) and Chrome browser.

TA's Tracking Tips:

  • Prior to using TopCashback, disable/remove all 3rd party plugins (AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole, DNS AdGuard, Honey, etc), VPNs, avoid browsers such as Brave, close additional browser tabs, and don't click away to other sites after clicking from TopCashback AU as tracking will be lost.
  • For iOS device: Apart from ensuring you’re not using an AdBlock app for Safari, the most important one is to ensure you have ‘Prevent Cross-Site Tracking’ turned off (see here).

  • Don't know why you'd risk Dodo for any price

    • Why?

      • Technical support is very unhelpful.

        • I have used technical support for internet a grand total of 2 times over 3 years

      • Skimp on CVC to keep prices low

    • I signed up yesterday via Finder for $110 back :/

  • Be mindful of Dodo's July 1st price increase ;)
    https://pages.dodo.com/nbnplanpricechange

I’ve recently joined Dodo – what does this mean for me?
Any customer connecting to a Dodo internet service between 27 May 2026 and 30 June 2026 who has a plan that increases in price will receive a credit equal to the price increase for their plan on the first invoice they receive after 1 July

    • That's mainly for those on lower speed especially those on fttn. They are pushing people onto the faster fttp.

      • I was just mentioning it because OP's "Price/Month for First 6 Months" for those lower speeds is misleading, the price will actually be a bit higher for most of the 6 months…

        • How is it misleading when it's a direct copy from the dodo's website and I have also linked the webpage. I didn't know about the price increases.

          • @trixieb: So the July price increase doesn't impact the people that sign up for this deal?

I was of the impression the deal is $30 off per month, and those on the plans that are increasing will be paying a bit more after July. (Edit: so the listed "Price/Month for First 6 Months" is incorrect)

            • @FLICKIT: I have been on the phone with dodo in the last 25 minutes after your comment. Had to call back as they hung up on me after transferring me from one person to another person in a different section.

I didn't get the answer from dodo and have hung up on them now. The person from the relevant section told me that there are no nbn price increases as he hasn't been informed. He is aware of a price increase for mobile plans. I gave him the url of the price increase page but he still couldn't see at his end. He also placed me on hold for several minutes while he checked with his colleague. He confirmed that there are no price increases for nbn plans.

Anyway I will update the post for the future price of nbn25 and nbn50 with the $2 increase in price. The other plans remain unchanged.

              • @trixieb: Thanks, that's odd… I guess they've thrown up the price increase page and haven't informed their staff about it..
                https://pages.dodo.com/nbnplanpricechange

$2 pm isn't a big deal (with the cashback) but it's best for people to be aware of it..

                • @FLICKIT: It's quite a small increase of $2 per month for 2 plans only (affected with cashback). Perhaps they misread. He asked me for a screenshot in the end. I cbf and hung up on him lol

I also tried to ask about this but didn't get far.

Any customer connecting to a Dodo internet service between 27 May 2026 and 30 June 2026 who has a plan that increases in price will receive a credit equal to the price increase for their plan on the first invoice they receive after 1 July

    • $120 cashback offer expires on 30 June. The above applies to nbn25 & nbn50 plans.

There are no price increases to NBN100, NBN250, NBN500, NBN750 or NBN1000 plans at this time.

  • Just in time as superloop 6 months rate expires tomm. Cheers

Signed up and activated the service in few minutes with no action needed on the modem. Seamless

    • Let us know how you go if you disabled cgnat

      • I was with Dodo from Dec to March, I used chat to opt out of CGNAT in Dec and I went onto a normal Dynamic IP, no issues…

I left Dodo and went to Swoop for 2 months (April-May) and I've just returned back to Dodo, CGNAT is still disabled, I guess my account must be marked as no CGNAT, lol…

      • Not yet, looks to be working

        • I joined today. Almost instant churn! Everything worked so didn't need to disable cgnat. I checked and seems like IPv6 is being used by Dodo after checking.

          • @revivor: So far so good at my end. 3 days no drama

    • Did u get cashback from Superloop?

      • Cant remember, probably just 6 months low rate

    • How'd you go with Superloop's 30-day notice requirement? I'm looking to leave mid billing cycle.

      • Had to give 30 days notice, no workaround.
I gave that fee weeks before i signed with these guys, so no probs

  • Friends don't let friends sign up with Dodo.
    Never again

    • I have ordered the switch for the 18th of June. What happened? I heard non existent customer service. Anything else?

      • Just couldn't keep a connection stable for more than a few minutes to up to 30 minutes. Support staff and customer service were terrible. Had to threaten TIO to get a refund for non service.
Super loop, Mate, Origin, Leaptel, and now amysim have all been fine.
Who knows what Dodo were selling, but it wasn't NBN.

  • Wouldnt touch them with a bargepole

    • I wouldn't know where to find a bargepole.

      • They're in the Trading Post next to the jousting sticks

  • Signed up and cash back tracked instantly

  • Once you had dodo u won’t go back

  • Cashback is eligible only on nbn & mobile services (excludes eSIMs). Cashback is ineligible on Bundle deals and on all other products & services.

If I'm an existing Dodo electricity customer, does it automatically bundle my existing electricity plan with the new nbn signup? And hence make me ineligible on Bundle deals?

    • I would also like to know if this is the case? I'm currently with Dodo for gas.

      • I called Dodo, they said it automatically gets bundled. But they don't know about the TCB deal. So it sounds like you won't be eligible for cashback if you're an existing Dodo electricity/gas customer.

  • Is churning NBN as simple as churning private health insurance?

or do you have to stop a service and then enable another service?

    • It should be automatic. Mine just switched over. I got an email from Southern Phone saying they'd processed my disconnection (I hadn't made any contact with them) then 15 minutes later, an email from Dodo saying I was connected. My internet was down for 5-10minutes and came back up by itself.

      • May I ask at which hour of the day did you service is connected? 9am?

      • does Southern Phone need a 30 day notice for disconnection?

        • Not that I could see

  • I have a maths problem: For the nbn25 plan, if I stay only the minimum period of 60 days, I would have paid $41.99 x2 = $83.98, but then I get a $120 cashback? Does that mean that I earn $36.02 because of the cashback?? Not complaining, but just wondering… :-)

    • yes but no.
It's $43.99 from 1 July so your earning is $34.02

      • Hahah. Thanks.

      • Yes but no, lol, the first invoice after July 1st will have a credit to cover the price increase, as per: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/17632214/redir so your second month invoice will be at the current $41.99 rate…

Any customer connecting to a Dodo internet service between 27 May 2026 and 30 June 2026 who has a plan that increases in price will receive a credit equal to the price increase for their plan on the first invoice they receive after 1 July

  • They don’t support second ports, only transferring service.

  • What does OP mean by CGNAT opt out? How do you request that and why?

    • CGNAT is basically just shared IPv4 addresses, many people share the same IP address, and you can end up flipping between multiple IP address in a short amount of time… I'm certainly no expert so if you want real details just Google it..

With the shared and rapidly changing CGNAT IP address it can be an issue if you run game servers, use Remote Desktop, camera servers or such, in my case it caused issues with my Usenet providers, they saw the changing CGNAT IP addresses as multiple logins and they kept blocking me, so I opted out… You can just message Dodo and ask to opt-out and they'll pop you on a normal Dynamic IP which tends to only change if your connection drops for a while..

If you're not having any issues dont worry about it ;)

  • Literally went online used firefox with no extensions other than topcashback. Added the plan and valididated my nbn avc. Paid for it, got confirmation the cashback was received and within 20 seconds of paying my internet dropped. Waited 5mins rebooted the nbn box and factory reset my eero (was with superloop) and it autoconfigured and i was connected to dodo within 10mins of paying for the service. 2026 - what a word we live in.

For anyone wondering your ISP may ask that you need to provide 30 days notice prior to disconnecting service…Well they cant under accc and mention to them your porting your service across using your avc. Simple and easy!

    • Thanks for that @kaejack213, just wondering if you can point to any link that I can supply to my provider if they pull the 30 days notice on me. I doubt if Southernphone would, but would be nice to have it handy.

      • here you go: https://www.accc.gov.au/consumers/buying-products-and-servic…

All i simply said was "I don't believe you can charge me for an extra 30 days if I'm not using your service I believe that's against ACCCs rules and the fact I am porting my service over with my AVC" after that he had an awkward pause and said "let me go talk to my supervisor" lol came back and was like cool when do you want cancel the service :)

Also just make sure that if you did get a free modem / router with your current ISP that it's been paid off. If you did you might still be locked in a contract and may need to payout the remaining months.

        Good luck!

        • What point of your billing cycle did you leave? I'm about to pay (on the 16th) for June but plan to churn before the end of the month. I'm guessing no pro-rata refund. i.e., I should churn before the next bill is issued, probably?

          • @Enguarde: My bill was due on the 15th (so in 4 days). I told superloop to cancel my bill on the 14th so I don't get charged for another month. So he did and I got a confirmation email that my service will be suspended on the 14th. So technically I still have superloop until then - when I placed my order I didn't expect Dodo to do a live cutover so quickly after payment lol.

            • @kaejack213: I'm with superloop. My discounted 6m rate just ended, bill dated 30th May (due 16th June) for $109.

Rather churn quicker either this deal or Origin..can call them up to confirm they won't need 30 day notice and to cancel my upcoming payment for 16th

Does this mean I would just pay one-off partial period used 30th May to whenever I port out? I have HFC I understand the NTD can only support 1 active connection so if I port out superloop cannot provide me a service anyway.

  • What payment options does Dodo have? Just automatic direct debit?

    • Correct. At checkout they'll take $1 from your account and then once the service is live they'll take the remainder $62. Once you setup the dodo app and have an account with them maybe there's more options to pay? but direct debit doesn't bother me.
