    • Found the ugreen ceo

    • If you canโ€™t afford BOSE, just admit it ๐Ÿ˜‚ nobody is gonna laugh at you. Poor man ๐Ÿ˜†

      • Just a opinion buddy damn

    • I have a lower end pair of ugreen headphones, Ugreen max5c they punch well above there weight and have an incredible microphone for the money.

The issue is the muffs and band are made from really thin pu material so all that has fallen off within a year and they looked pretty bad until i replaced them.

  • Easily worth a pineapple.

  • How do these compare to the AirPods Max Gen2

    • They're $800 cheaper.

    • Donโ€™t eat too much junk food, now you have no brain left ๐Ÿ˜‚

  • This review on it doesn't sound very positive…

    • Then you find good reviews like this

      Each to their own.

      • to be fair tho this review reads more like "man surprised $36 headphone works and has fun playing around with the features", nothing really saying its objectively good.

        • Here's my review I made a month ago after purchasing them a few months ago: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/957852#comment-17550630

I'm still very impressed by them and reach for them over my Sony WH-1000XM2 every time. I also upgraded my bluetooth in my PC to a BT6 USB module and the latency with game mode improved a lot to the point they are nearly on par with my USB RF headphones such as Razer Blackshark V2 and perfectly fine for PC gaming.

          • @studentl0an: Thanks for your review, I'm glad you are enjoying it.
And it sounds like studio pro is an excellent value at around $50 and has the ozbargain's approval.

But just referring back to Clear's referenced review I don't believe this is better or even on par with any of the name drops (seenheiser, stax, etc.) as the review is really just being surprised that it works better than expected.

So what I want to call out is don't buy into the hype.

  • Looks good to use in the office

  • How's the mic on this set? I'm in need of a decent headset for work where the mic doesn't literally pick up all the background noise from downstairs.

    • I would go for Anker q20i or sononflow se. They'll handle the calls better than this. The Anker are around $65 on Amazon ATM.
Sononflow se an extra $8 us on AliExpress.

    • Spend $360 on Yealink BH78 and never worry again

    • If you are ok with in-ear earbuds, the Huawei FreeBuds Pro 4/5 are well-regarded for their mic quality. More expensive than these but well worth the investment if you're taking frequent calls. I've been using a pair for about a year and never had any complains.

  • How do these compare to the Sennheiser HE-1s ?

    • Like a one legged cripple vs Usain Bolt in a 100m race. Seriously WTF do you expect out of 45$?

  • Guarantee that foam padding peels off in a couple months

    • This must be where the costs lie. Every single one of my inexpensive headphones peel within a few months (though that included my Sennheiser HD450), whereas my 4 (yes four) sets of Sony XM4s remain perfect with regular use and exposure to human oils 2 yrs down the track.

      • Yep AND they're replaceable earpads even for aftermarket quality ones like Wicked Cushions, cheapos make sure you have no choice but to throw out and buy from another one of their cheap brands to repeat the scam

        • I replaced the ear cushions on a cheap-ish pair of Soundpeats over ear headphones.

They have to get the ear cushions on somehow - It's usually doable to reverse the process. You just need to find cushions that are the right size and shape (I believe the ones I used were aftermarket Sennheiser HD450 ones)

          • @Vinnie Vegas: Yep you also have to do your due diligence to make sure any moving or bending part isn't made of plastic I had a cheap Soundcolor QC30 the yoke or hinge that connects to the headband is made of plastic, it snapped off superglue was pointless

      • I was using a pair of 1More Sonoflow SE for nearly 18 months and had no problem with the padding peeling. though a split did occur in the stitching of the padding cover. (some super glue fixed that) I wore them virtually daily and up to 10 hours a day.

swtiched to some HAYLOU S30 headphones in march and really enjoy them- and no issue with the padding.

    • I guess we know what a GoldAlwaysGold guarantee means - I've had mine for a few months and they are like new. Also replacements can be purchased for pretty cheap from Aliexpress (which you also wrote they can't): https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005010725165415.html

  • lowkey curious will they be good for DJing? Wired, if anyone has recs

  • Anyone have thoughts on these vs the Soundcore Q30 (https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B08HMWZBXC)
    or Q20i (https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0C3KWT5V6)
    ??

    • Have both and the anker q30's are a step up in sound and the anc is adequate although not to the standard of premium headsets. They are a little bulky on the head given the design but comfortable enough. If you cant afford premium headphones then these are fine

The q20's are rubbish The design profile is smaller and the ear fit would be problematic for people with larger heads and ears As for the sound …well its trash, with little to no separation with mids and highs leaving the listener with a muddy sound profile that's awful.. would avoid

      • Thanks, I appreciate the feedback.
I gather you haven't tried the Ugreen's in this deal?

    • Bahaha I just commented about them as I had one. DO NOT BUY! First thing will happen the cheap sprayed on PU leather will peel then if you're unlucky the hinge that connects to the headband is made of plastic any drop, or accident sitting on or just overtime putting on or removing over your head will snap them. XM4's are cheap now go proper go further.

      • My xm4s broke from 1 drop from standing height

        • Oh bad luck I still trust Sony over others, but if you think you'll be rough and careless with it, it's an investment to pay higher for quality build

          • @GoldAlwaysGold: Sony went from metal to plastic construction between XM2 - XM3 for the hinges, and changed from metal to hybrid metal & plastic for the headband. The XM4 have known issues where the folding hinges snap when being folded, if you search online you'll find many threads where people have had them snap during normal use.

These UGREEN Studio Pro headphones have metal hinges and headband.

  • Picked up a pair I'm curious as to what you can get at this price point

  • showing 51$ for me.

    • I created a new account but using the same card and was able to get them for$45

  • listed at $32.61 USD delivered to Brisbane.
