  • Has anyone had experience to match this kind of deal with JB? (eg $1397 +150 JB Voucher)?

    • You can try it via chat. They may do something as all retailers are looking to clear out 10 series before 11 series launches in August.
Would be better to get them take $150 off the price 🙂

      • No cigar. I just tried asking via chat 😞

  • Do people know what's in the pipeline for the Pixel 11 series? Pretty keen on jumping on this but aware that people's general advice is that they wouldn't pay over $1,000 for this specific phone…

      • Hmmmm is it worth waiting?

        • TBH phones have reached their peak innovation and the changes in newer models are marginal only i.e. Samsung S25 series users need not to upgrade to S26 series. Similarly Pixel 10 series didn't bring any ground breaking changes over Pixel 9 series. Same is expected from Pixel 11 series. So if you need a phone now and feel that the price is right for Pixel 10 series, go ahead., else if you don't need a phone now and can wait, and happy to spend more, then wait for 11 series release.

          • @OZBsince2018: We may see micro-gimbals that improve video stability and true continuous optical zoom lenses that mechanically move glass inside the phone to adjust focal lengths. But I agree, the average consumer is content with the extraordinary quality of flagship phone cameras now

        • Flagship phones are considered mature technology now, nothing much more can be done to improve the current tech, except perhaps the cameras

          • @SiliconeFries: Even the improvements on Camera front are also marginal now i.e. all flagships already take excellent photos, and doesn't leave much to desire for. Even on battery front, any phone that easily lasts 1 day with heavy use is more than enough. No one needs to carry a brick just for the sake of having a 10,000mAH battery when we have access to chargers at home, in car and at work.

          • @SiliconeFries: So how frequently should you change flagship phones now?

            • @sator: In my household it's 4-5 years. I'm got the Pixel 7 Pro and will either upgrade this year or next year. Battery is not holding up great for my needs so likely will get the Pixel 11 Pro XL this year when it comes out, otherwise my phone is working fine (except for the cracked front camera), and I'd consider myself a heavy user. If you can hold off upgrading for 5-7 years, even better.

              • @Trishool: Great thanks. It looks like it's finally time to upgrade from my 6 pro!

            • @sator: I would say every 3 years in order to have some meaningful upgrades while minimising cost upgrading every 1-2 years. But also depends, sometimes trade-in bonus and other discounts offer a good option to upgrade every year at minimal cost.

            • @sator: Battery degradation is a good indicator that it's time to level up. That'll be between two year or three years for most users (500-600 charging cycles)

        • Okay folks, I think I'm gonna for it. Before I pull the trigger… anyone know of any way to get the price even lower? The more (the discount), the merrier.

          • @sashimi mango: Get JB Hifi to price match HN offer if they can adjust the GC and reduce the price itself. Once thats done, look for some diwcounted JB Hifi GC and buy with those.

        • Im still using an S23+ and cannot see any reason to upgrade to the latest Samsung phone. Im only looking at a pixel because i want to run graphene os. Otherwise id use this phone until it completely died. Latest update just improved performance and battery life so theyre extending the life of my s23

  • Same price at Google store without the bonus gift card. I wonder why Google discounted 10 series, but not 9.

  • P11PXL may come with a removable battery cell (as per patent). As much as I want to upgrade from my aging P7P, I'll hold out and pray.
