[VIC] eufy Video Doorbell E340 $238 + Delivery ($0 VIC C&C) @ Forge Electrical (Price Beat from $214.20 @ Bunnings)

150

Forge Electrical have the Eufy E340 on their website for $238 pickup in Victoria only. I was successful with a price match beat by 10% at Bunnings via online chat, which brings it down to $214.20.

Bunnings Link

Edit: Commenters reporting they are getting a price beat at $194.72 (beating the ex-GST price of $216.36), possible ATL.

  • why would i get this over the cheaper rings?

    • 8GB on-device storage
Connect directly to a Wi-Fi Router with no need for a HomeBase

      So need for subscriptions.

    • Because not everyone wants their privacy and agency sold to subsidise the immaterial cost of a camera.

  • How this compare to - Aqara 2K Doorbell Camera G400 (Wired/PoE) - if anyone has come across.

  • how much does it cost to install? Been holding out coz of installation.

    • its battery operated.

  • I have had the Eufy 2k doorbell camera for the last 2 years. Fantastic for taking parcels etc, screening random salespeople, and keeping track of what's going on out the front. I didn't get the one with the extra camera to capture the floor and see parcels, but I did mount the camera on a wooden door wedge from bunnings so the camera angle also captures a lot of the verandah floor. Having used the wifi eufy cameras for just simple presence notifications I am a big fan of the subscription free model, and i've done some simple Home Assistant intergrations with it also. Im sure a more competent Home Assistant user could do a lot more with them. 5 out of 5 stars.

Edited to add: mine is the battery powered model, probably twice a year we have to take it inside to charge up overnight.

    • I have 4x 2c cams around the house, including one trained squarely on the front door. Do you think I'd find much value in adding this to the mix?

      • i like it because for my eufy app it rings a bit like a phone and you know someone is attempting to talk to you. so you can chat to the tradie/ delivery person and thats a step up from "someones in the yard" you know? I got it first and then i got the yard watching cameras, so I went about it the opposite way to you. For me the practicality of a web based doorbell is useful for us.

  • Thanks, got Bunnings to price beat too, but they use the price excluding GST so got for 194.72.

    • That's awesome, the guy running the chat this morning seems to be a bit of a legend

  • Thanks. My v1 Arlo doorbell has been tripping with false positives for the past several weeks. At $194.72 this seems like a great deal

  • A case/enclosure for this doorbell if anyone is interested.

  • I must be blind but I cannot for the life of me find a "Chat with us" tile on the Bunnings page. Incognito mode with adblockers disabled..

    • It's purposely difficult to find - but on the extreme right side of the page at the bottom was a tiny red Chat with us tag. Might take a second to load.

      • Thanks, it showed up on my phone (Safari / iOS) but wouldn't show up in browser on my PC (Edge).

        • Just a quick update in case someone else experiences a similar issue: my online price match went through fine yesterday and I received an SMS link to pay. However, I never received a confirmation email. Today I rang customer support and they managed to find my order and re-sent the confirmation. However, they noticed that the collection date was for the end of June. That was reverted back to today so now I have to wait for staff to pick my item today or even tomorrow.

So, yea just double check what your collection date is.

          • @SAVE FERRIS: Weird, had the exact same thing happen. Had to call in to get the confirmation email sent through. After a few calls now, still yet to get confirmation to collect. They claim the store is just busy and haven't had a chance to pick since Thursday.

  • I bought this from Microless for around $170 with the chime included (was posted in the comments of a previous E340 deal).

Haven't had it that long, but have had to charge it twice already. Not a major deal, it's pretty easy to remove and charge, and the app gives you plenty of warning.

The second camera for watching parcels seems to work well. Have only had a couple of parcels delivered, but it detected them and watched them like a hawk.

All in all, it's a great product for the price.

  • i was only able to get it price matched for $214.20.

    • same here but I did a huaca and the next agent was able to offer for 194.2

  • How weather resistant are these?

  • What do you guys use as a chime for this if I don't have Alexa or apple home kit?

    • I have the Eufy Homebase 2 "base station" from a previous doorbell.
