  • Is it heavy ?

    • Best not carried around in a backpack perhaps.

    • about 1/8th brother

  • I have this. For the first time in over 30 years of owning printers I finally actually like one. It's truely great.

    • I agree. The app actually works, zero issues so far.

      • Never used any app. AirPrint just works with Mac and iPhones.

    • Same. It gets used about once a month and has NEVER given me an issue. It always connects and there is no blockages or dried jets or whatnot. It just works.

  • whats the difference with the previous model?

  • any recommendation for color laser?

  • Reliable no non sense printer. Got it for around 252 after PB@OW.
    Can't go wrong with it.

  • Generally fine, other than if you use iPrint & Scan software, it'll need updating every other week.

    • what do you mean? "it'll need updating every other week"? The printers firmware or the computers app?

      • app, otherwise i guess you can turn off update notifications

  • Can anyone confirm if they have been successful with this printer, recent purchased and if it works ok with 3rd party toners? My Brother printer is still going strong, no firmware updates, with 3rd party toner but having a scanner would be a game changer

    • Yeah, like to know, too.

    • It does but firmware update may break it. However new toners are like having the chip updated and maybe compatible. Stop auto firmware update.

  • Anyone know of a cheap A3 printer? They used to make portable style units that weren't expensive, I don't need amazing quality or all the scanning functionality.

    • I think I need one too for casual A3 printing

  • Paid 300 for it a few weeks ago from Amazon. Love it. Would definitely recommend.

  • Save over $100 if you don't need Scan, Copy, and Fix

  • Do I want a scanner? For what purpose?

There’s one for $140 without the scanner… is the printer part essentially the same?

    • scanners are good to have for when you.. need them. honestly if you have a half decent phone you can just do the same on your phone and send it to the print

    • Handy for easy photocopying multi page documents quickly.

  • Have this.

    Great unit. Reliable.

Easy wifi printing (ie straight from the phone).

I've set up quick scanning so that it automatically goes to email (single and double sided options).

  • Can anyone confirm it can do multiple page scanning? Ie, put 10 pages in the document reader and it does all 10 as one file?
