  • The s11U made my fold 6 obsolete when at home.

    • Isn't the purpose of the fold 6 is to make your s11U obsolete?

      • Yeah, the folds came before the tablet unfortunately.

Now I know to just get a big tablet for home and the next phone will likely be a slab or flip form factor.

      • Agree. Fold has also made my laptop obsolete. I'd recommend when ready for a phone upgrade, having a hard think about using any funds for a tablet, towards a folding phone. There's not much of comprise now that they are so thin.

The Ultra is a massive slab which you may find only getting out for its long battery life for travel on a long flight, etc

        • Aspect ratio of the fold phones means it doesn't make a tablet obsolete at all. A 16:10 tablet is way better than a fold phone for content, as the fold phone unfolded barely has a bigger display for 16:9 content than a slab phone.

  • Tab S11 also 400 off + 300 trade bonus
    $678 with s20fe trade in of $20

    • couple of months ago we had S11 for $478 and that was sweet deal for S11 wifi 128 GB with trade-in.

      • Was even better with amex cashback. Was like 405 with charger ..

  • use this code for extra 5% OFF on S11 tablets, from samsung members

    AI-TEOFY26

    • Yep can confirm that stacks and takes another $44.45 off my cart, $844.55 total now. Too bad mine already ordered and shipped, but good find for anyone else!

  • iPad Pro 12.9" 2nd Gen Cellular for $160 trade-in sounds VERY poor.

    • $210 trade in at JB, but they're not giving any bonus, so $610 with bonuses is pretty good for a 9 year old iPad stuck on iOS 17 that's basically shot. Battery is trashed, so I was fine with that offer.

      • Fair then. I have an iPad Pro 12.9" 3rd gen…..still works well….may see what Marketplace might give me.

        • my ipad pro 10.9 2018 still working very well!!!

        • If the listing prices where I live are anything to go by, you should get a lot more than $160 . Around $450 conservatively.

        • Yeah I wouldn't have sold mine with the bad battery the way it is, so it was otherwise e-waste that I essentially I got some money for instead.

A 3rd gen or newer would probably fetch a decent deal more elsewhere, even Mobile Monster takes good condition 256GB 3rd gen for $440.

    • Poor? Rip off.

    • How much can you get for trading in an old ear phone or old phone?

    • It’s with a $450 trade-in bonus, so it’s a total of $610 discount for the trade in of that device. Consider it like a “bonus interest” of Aussie banks. They can’t give you 5% bonus interest alongside 5% actual interest, they’ll go out of business.
They keep it as a “bonus” so they can tweak it easily for various promos.

  • Darn limited to 2 promo codes only. In the past u could have 4 to 5.

    • Yeah, maximum limit of 2 Promo codes applied to one order.

      • oh, so i can't use 2 newsletter codes + the 5% code listed above?

        • At any point it allows max of 2 codes and its possible to get first purchase 5% off (applied automatically)

  • 8% Shopback cashback?

    • Unlikely due to coupon codes usage!

      • Has worked for me in the last so still a chance

    • It has worked for me in the past even after using codes.

      • Worked for me as well in the past

    • Topcashback has 10% cashback on tablets but I'm guessing they wouldn't pay due to using coupon codes either? Might be worth trying the lower Shopback rate if others have had success in the past despite using coupon codes?

    • Worked for me today at 6%. Used a 10% loyalty and $50 voucher.

  • can you still do the trade in bonus but never send the device in and use a bank account that doesn't overdraft with them eventually giving up?

    • Wouldn't mind if they charged for the device cost back. My Samsung S8 Tablet is only worth $75 trade in

      • They also charge an admin fee of $60 if you don't return it. So still probably worth it to get the $450 discount, if you can privately sell the S8 for more than $135.

      • they charge the cost of the device when ordering, so you need to pick the lowest/cheapest device. i paid $25 for an old ipad i don't intend to send (didn't match the model, but i used the real serial number in case they have auto checks). maybe there was a lower item? they now don't allow broken items for $1, and if one of the survey questions are wrong it will make it $0

got it on my westpac account with no over drafting possible (although i saw it overdraft once), so i think i should be fine. considering shopback bonuses are dead to me now i don't really use that account anymore.

i used a debit card as well, so they're not strict on that.

    • You can just send them anything and they don't charge the fee.

      • Have you done this recently? The trade in options for a tablet are Apple or Samsung, and I only have an old Nexus 7! If they at least give the bonus trade in amount I might give it a try!

        • Yeah did it a couple months ago. Doesn't even need to be a tablet or anything.

  • The latest changes in Dex along with deep-rooted bugs has ruined the experience for me in my S10+. Every single time you touch the split screen dots it just locks the tablet. Dex is now available only with external display which is not a great outcome for plus and ultra users.

    • Split-screen & Dex standalone+ Split-screen seems to work for me. S10+ one UI 8.0 using Chrome and Samsung calendar for a test.

You don't need a external display for Dex, you can enable it directly from quick settings tile (it might be hidden, so need to add the button). It's uses a "workspace" desktop design in one UI 8 which takes a abit to get used to.

PS: I do have the options "Force activities to be resizable" & " Multi window for all apps" in developer options, I can do the above even with them off.

  • whens the s12 ultra comng out?

    • S11 Ultra came out in 04 Sept 2025, so S12 will be at similar time

  • How long did it take people to get the codes sent after registering?

    • About 10 or 15 mins for me.

    • I've been waiting 30 mins and nothing. Checked Junk folders too!

      • Mine is over 15 hours…nothing.

  • I'm not convinced that needing to get ripped off on a trade-in to achieve the advertised price makes this a deal

    • This will be available in JB for $1049 outright soon enough!!

  • Is the option of not sending the device and paying an administration fee still a thing?

    • I found at least one person saying it works in early last year.

      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/16189856/redir

    • Has someone tried not sending in a trade-in device?
      Admin fee of $60?

      • Mmmm. Interesting.

      • A Late Return Fee of up to $60 will be charged if you have not sent in your trade-in device within fourteen (14) days of receiving your New Samsung Device.

    • My bigger concern is with the ID requirements… Not sure why you need to provide ID just to sell a product? They're not pawnbrokers…

      • When you do a trade-in they're buying your second-hand phone. A business buying second-hand goods must ask for proof of identity from every person.

The idea is to be able to track thieves who sell stolen goods to cashies or the likes.

  • Dam just bought the s10 ultra from JB :(

  • Are there good note taking apps on this like goodnotes? Seems the only field in which Apple is ahead?

    • I use OneNote. Freeform note-taking, syncs with desktop, does the job for me.

    • Just as an FYI, Goodnotss has expended to both Android and Windows platforms! Although I've only used the app on my iPad.

  • 10% off loyalty voucher if you go on chat with them and ask for it

  • My tab s9 still works smooth, worth for upgrading?

    • Im trying to work out if its worth the upgrade from the s10+

      • I was also tempted but ended up sticking with the s10+ feels like the perfect size for me

        • Yup, fits perfectly in the Qantas seatback holder

    • My S9+ is still working perfectly smooth with great battery life. I don't see any reason to upgrade except if I wanted a larger screen. Still getting OS updates too.

  • Got mine for $858.60 with a $95 trade-in.

    • Jeeze I must be getting old, I just replaced the battery in my S21 and thought to myself what a good phone it still is …..

    • How did you get their price?

      • I used two discount codes. One was the "$50 Voucher to Shop the EOFY Sale", and the other came from Samsung when I contacted them about my bonus S24+. They gave me two discount codes: one for 10% off selected Galaxy S Series, FE Series, Z Fold, and Z Flip devices, and another for 10% off home appliances, monitors, TVs, and sound devices.

  • Thanks. I paid $544 for tab s11 128gb

    • How?

      • Presumably by buying the Tab S11 rather than the Tab S11 Ultra

    • How pls?

      • Tab S11 128GB

        $1,399

        • $400
        • $300 Guaranteed Trade-In Credit
        • $25 Trade-In Device (minimum available)

        $674

        • 10% Discount Voucher (Email)
        • $50 Discount Voucher (Email)

        $556.60

        • It should be $561.60. The 10% discount should be applied after the $50 discount, not before.

  • Am I missing something. I used to go to a page on their website to quickly check trade in value for devices but i can't see it now.

  • Tempting, but an extra 350 for the 512gb version us a bit steep

    • It support sd card slot.

  • Genuine question, what do you guys do with tablets? I find the form factor a bit awkward. Not small enough to be as portable as a phone, not big enough to be as useful a computer and monitor.

    • Handwriting notes at uni and bringing a lightweight device to classes. But I agree, limited use cases besides that if you already have a laptop.

      • You can do that with any light weight tablet with stylus support.

These high end tablets seems unnecessary to me.

        • You can do that with any light weight tablet with stylus support.

How many A4-sized tablets are there to choose from?

These high end tablets seems unnecessary to me.

Of course - not everything has to be made exclusively to suit your needs only. :)

          • @eug: Every single brand? It's just not talked about because it's not a popular form factor.

            https://www.harveynorman.com.au/tcl-nxtpaper-14-256gb-tablet…

Like, I understand I'm not the target market for this, but I can't imagine what kind of target market this is intended. At 1k (2kmsrp), you're firmly in the 2 in 1 territory pricing. While windows tablet mode sucks, atleast it's designed to all the bells and whistles of keyboards and trackpad, and x86 emulation if it's ARM CPU.

            • @Wonderfool:

Every single brand? It's just not talked about because it's not a popular form factor.

Every single brand has a 14.6" tablet with the same specs? Not everyone just runs one app at a time, especially on a tablet with such a large screen. Specs matter more when running multiple apps simultaneously.

              https://www.harveynorman.com.au/tcl-nxtpaper-14-256gb-tablet…

I have that model at work - it is definitely not in the same league. It's not as fast and flexible which matters if you're switching between apps like OneNote and a web browser, or doing multi-window with a PDF on one side and writing notes on the other, or following an online lecture on top while taking notes on the bottom.

Like, I understand I'm not the target market for this, but I can't imagine what kind of target market this is intended.

There's a market for it, just like how there's a market for a $2,200 (to $3,799) iPhone 17 Pro Max. It won't make sense to a lot of people, but it doesn't mean there's no market for it.

    • The ultra is a laptop replacement if you don't type a heap, but lighter and can be hand held. The biggest drawback are the idiot programmers who make apps for portrait only, including the morons at facebook (sadly I am forced to use it by clubs/groups). Battery life is absolutely excellent, and my S8 Ultra still going strong doe to the much larger battery.

      • But it can't, because it doesn't run x86 programs. There's so much wasted silicon in here; a tablet will only ever be used for web apps. Sure, the battery life is incredible, but so is any cheap tablet as well, or any arm laptop (MacBook neo). All these power and fancy features, for a glorified Netflix display.

I don't see the appeal personally.

    • switch emulation!

      • Is it accurate and stable yet? I stopped following the scene after the death of Yuzu.

I had it on both my phone and my 6800u laptop and it struggles in so many titles.

        • Check out Eden!

    • MUSIC!!! Use my iPad Pro 12.9 for all music rehearsals and performances. Hard to go back to sheet music.

And this would be even better at 14.6"!

      • What apps do you use for your rehearsals/performances/sheet music replacement? I hope to move from paper to digital too

        • Music Sheets.

    • I mostly watch footy and youtube, stream from my NAS and browse internet. Better than a phone for all 3 and my TVs are often taken over by my kids.

  • I really don't like cash back deals. They never offer what the devices are worth so not really a discount.

  • I also have an ipad 12.9 (2nd Gen), is this a big upgrade? My ipad has started to lag when streaming on Foxtel Go (not an internet issue).

    • I'll tell you when I get it, but I fully expect it to be. Much newer, bigger, brighter AMOLED screen. I watched plenty of YouTube vids before deciding to pull the trigger.

      • How is it?

        • Yeah great, loving it! Very lightweight but large, perfect for my ageing eyes for content, haha. The display is gorgeous, very crisp and great brightness. Using a web browser on it is much more like on an actual laptop. Great for watching the security cams, YouTube and Reddit etc. Excellent content consumption device.

    • Apparently this is between a M1/M2 Ipad pro wise. I've got an M1 and was considering upgrading for a bigger screen. I know the processor of my ipad is already overkill for what I use it for.

  • Is the Tab S11 128GB worth upgrading from Tab A9+ 128/8GB 5G model?

Really only use it for watching videos on the toilet lol

After all my codes applied I can get it down $461 after using TRS

Maybe less if the 8% Shopback works, it worked on my last Samsung purchase with codes.
