Hey all, a month ago I went through some testing I managed to convert Tech Head to a Woolworths e-gift card at 4% off through my CovaU Energy Rewards app. The CovaU app is basically a downgraded version of the Entertainment Book app, so this may potentially work with similar energy rewards apps.
For example, if you want to use up $200 on a gift card that is 4% off, calculate it as:
$200 ÷ 0.96 = $208.33
Enter $208.33 as the custom gift card amount.
Please note, I bought about $400 worth one night, then it stopped working. I tried again the next night and it worked. Keep in mind, as we’ve seen in the past with Tech Head no longer being usable to pay bills, Special may also stop this workaround.
This workaround is not foolproof, so use it at your own risk.
I have $300 still left in gift cards so not sure if need more for to test if it still works. Good luck

With the Supermarket slayer I use the search for Woolworths, Coles or Dan Murphys but nothing found. Can this card be used in these stores as seen Woolworths mentioned above.
I think the Supermarket Slayer webpage must be broken. I don't see any retailers listed but the page does say the card can be used at retailers transaction under MCC 5411 - Grocery. Coles and Woolworths are both listed as 5411 on the Ozbargain MCC wiki page.
Dan Murphy's though is listed as 5921 -Package Stores, Beer, Wine, and Liquor so officially it shouldn't work but nothing stops you from trying it unofficially.
Beyond all that, I can say from personal experience that I have used the Supermarket Slayer at Coles, Woolworths and ALDI with success.

Supermarket Slayer can be used at any store that is classified by the payment system as a grocery store (specifically MCC 5411).

I had assumed the one time only meant just that - never again - but maybe it's per offer period.

OK seems to be only me that has gotten to hate Special gift cards.
First the sign up via email is completely broken, just like it was last time. Followed a tip from here and did via one of my Google accounts instead.
Bought the card for my missus who already has digital wallet stuff set up. Get the AMEX email saying I've used the offer, but Special gift cards says order under review then it gets cancelled this morning.
I was able to use Amex points to reduce cost. I'm guessing that means I won't get 10% back on those $, but free is better than 10% back :-)
