Do nintendo even sell physical copies now? Isnt it just a box with a code in it for a digital download?….I'm not really up to date with Nintendo but I didn't think they did cartridges anymore
Physical copies are still cartridges you can buy and sell. I think what people are talking about is the cartridge doesn’t contain all of the game anymore. You still need to download the game with the cartridge in.
Whereas before the cartridge has the whole game so you can play years from now when Nintendo stops supporting switch. Someone correct me if I’m wrong.

Sort of, it depends on the game. Almost all Nintendo first party releases (Donkey Kong, Zelda games, the upcoming Star Fox etc) still contain the full game on the cartridge and all you have to download is updates.
Pokopia is kind of an exception where (if you buy a physical copy) it gives you a cartridge which you can still resell, but the cart only contains the license and you still have to download the full game to play it. But so far it's the only Nintendo-published game that does this.

It's true that many third party games are game key cards. Third party publishers can do whatever they want. Just dispelling the misinformation that spread around Switch 2's launch where a lot of people seem to believe "there's no point buying physical because they're all just a code in a box" or that they're all game key cards. For most of the Switch 2 exclusives (which imo are the point of owning a Nintendo console in the first place) you're getting the game on the cart. I own 5 physical Switch 2 games, with a 6th coming out later this month, and all of them have the game on the cart.

@Crazed: Ah right. It seems that the console only option has now sold out or no longer available but assuming everything tracks the MKW bundle option comes down to $626.05 delivered. So essentially $2.05 cheaper than the sale price for console only next week and have the option to sell the MKW code.
