              @maverickjohn: Ha because of the Amazon deals I actually had like 7 of the 45 or 48 packs prior to covid. Never had to worry or compete with everyone during the crisis.

      It looks like Woolworths dropped down to $16, so matched it below the mid year sale price.

      In my local store it was located near the ice cream fridge and labelled a clearance. Online just says special.

      Quilton Tuffy also there but only $7 for 8 pack from $7.90.

      Toilet paper is starting to be like razors - 1 blade, then twin, then triple, then quad, now 5, 6, even 7. Lubricating strips for your face, soothing aloe vera for your bum. Where does it stop?

      I used to like single ply and manage thicknessing myself, now I'm a fan of triple. The path of least resistance is a helluva drug.

      As to your question: luxurious but not qualitatively different IMO. It's not as much an upgrade as going from 2 to 3.

    What's the cost per whatever unit of measure the 3 ply uses?

      Quilton 3 ply has 180 sheets (540 individual sheets), 4 ply has 140 sheets (560 individual sheets). In terms of overall paper, it 'technically' has more, but I'm also pretty sure each ply isn't created equal/the same thickness.
