      @go2home no we are offering ABB Direct Plans for customers that require lower latency and want a local POP as oppose to Symbio nbn services which only have a Sydney POP.

      So we have both types of services for our customers.

      Symbio: $79/m (going up to $84/m).
      Static IPv4 only, no IPv6 and Sydney PoP.

      Aussie BB direct: $86/m.
      IPv4 and IPv6, local PoPs AU wide for lower latency. No Static IP?

        @Twix No Static IP on 100/20, 500/50, 750/50, 1000/100, 2000/100 and 2000/200 all other services have Static IP. I've asked ABB if customers can opt in for Static IP on those Resi Plans no answer yet. NO CGNAT on all plans and the option to opt in for IPv6 is available as well.

      “streams plex to family”, depends on quality and number of users but that could easily eat up all your upload bandwidth. Make sure you’re capping it on the server side.

    What about existing customers? I was under the impression that your team was working with ABB on Layer 3 to include POP in every capital city by the end of this year.

    How can I achieve lower latency? I am in Melbourne. I have no issues with the connection speed, but I am currently seeing around 29 ms of latency during speed tests. I am on 250/100.

      Eventually will have Layer 3 in all states on Symbio nbn services but I'm not willing to wait and not have some sort of solution immediately for new customers don't believe its fair.

    @fade it's really only worth going on ABB Direct Services if you are having issues around latency otherwise stay with what you have. But it's entirely up to you!

      Look at the latest Exetel nbn plan. The main difference is price, CG-NAT and support. CG-NAT is not a problem for most users.

    Anyone tried the ABB option or ABB in general in the ACT recently? I haven't been with them for like 5 years but back then our POI would hit over 70-80% capacity which would cause jitter and packetloss after 6pm every night.

    The new ABB Direct plan is much better for latency in WA - I've been waiting for this since we ported our accounts over to you.
    Truth be told, my Mum didn't need the lower latency as she's had no issues with streaming on the 25/10 @ ~40ms… now it's 3ms.

    A couple of questions. For those of us in Sydney and surrounds, is there any benefit to having ABB direct?

    Also, I’m wanting to try out the new NBN 2GBit plans (probably the business variant just to see what sort of absolute maximums are like)- but I’ll need the new NTD. Is the upgrade process automatic or am I better off upgrading prior to switching? Currently with Superloop.

      We can take over your service then do the NTD / Speed upgrade for you. if you are sydney based i would stick to our nbn plans not the ABB Direct. Benefit with ABB Direct is latency for other states.

    How long does it take for an order to process and get the NBN box. I ordered on Monday and I haven't heard back since the initial few automated emails
