The warranty on the box is basically irrelevant for expensive stuff like this, as ACL provides automatic statutory guarantees that scale with the price you paid. For a luxury purchase, the law expects a massive lifespan (likely 5+ years for a $15k TV), and the retailer owes you a refund or replacement, regardless of what arbitrary 1 or 2 year warranty sticker the manufacturer slapped on the packaging.

My $4000 made In Japan Sony 1080P TV is 19 years old and works perfectly fine. I would expect a $15k TV to last at least 30 years.

ACCC needs to crack down on BS warranty periods, it’s only ever used as an excuse to not provide support and mislead customers.
Should be considered misleading to advertise 1 year warranty on a $15.000 TV.

My 75" was smaller than ideal for my bedroom monitor/ theatre
I got an 85" (TCL… thus a poofteenth of the price, but 3x the warranty)… it was fantastic, but I eventually started getting headaches, which disappeared when I move it back about 20cm, to make the viewing distance 2.3M.- 0
After moving back, is it actually larger? I went from 60 to 75 a couple years back - found that my wife moves the couch back complaining of headaches and such, to the point that is actually not a bigger viewing experience.

well… the 75" wasn't at the point of borderline headaches…. so when I moved the 85" back a bit… it wasn't moved back so much as to present as the 75" …. it still looks bigger.
