      Most likely yes, I get the groupon coupons all the time and the booking fees online will always apply. I assume it will for any voucher

    In SA, there's only one Event cinema at Marion left, and that's in need of a major revamp. Seats, screens and sound sucks - even in Vmax, but I guess it's cheaper than what we paid at Hoyts last night.

      Agreed, except the refurb VMax is a mixed bag. Sound is better even though its not an Atmos enabled theaters, the seats are cramped for the space in front to the next row, and whomever did they refurb should be made to fix up all the VMax there as there is no longer soundproofing from the projector both and you can hear the cooling fans bleeding in to the rows at the back which is distracting during quiet parts of movies.

      The rest of the cinemas at Marion havent been updated since it opened and it shows. Same with the toilets etc. Even Gold Class has seen cost cutting in terms of service since covid but the food prices in there keep going up.

      They closed off half of the 20 odd onsite cinemas for Storage and cleanliness is a major problem.

        Well, all of Marion is in dire need of a revamp. An extra level of stores and expansion was promised but then Covid came and went and we’ve only seen minor improvements inside.

        Outside, my partner jokes that it looks like Gotham - as the render on the walls is flaking off and it just looks dated on the outside.

        Maybe things will happen once Bunnings relocates to Marion Road (yep, more trees cut down near the southern expressway).

        The cinema is okay if you’re seeing a cheap movie or don’t care too much about what you’re watching, but it is so dated. We drive to Wallis at Mitcham or Hoyts Norwood to get a better sound and visual experience.

          I do the same. Wallis Glenelg and Mitcham are far superior to Marion (cleanliness and movie presentation). I buy the booklet of 5 tickets for $75 at the box office that last 3 years and can be used any day of the year.
