Stumbled across this while looking for a cheap backpack to DIY into a surf fishing cooler bag. Not sure about the quality of it yet, waiting for it to come in the post, but for $12, it's not a major financial loss if it doesn't hold up.

I just had a look through the Kathmandu catalog online (I am guessing that's what the knock off logo is meant to represent) and couldn't find any now or past matches to the bag design.
Interestingly enough I could not find any other exact matches to the bag anywhere else online as well, I even looked through AliExpress.
Seems to be a custom design/order for Kmart Anko?- 0

Sorry, should have put the /s
I was implying Kmart was doing a Catch in the past, or TK Maxx. But yes, they copy a lot (like Aldi) and many items can come from the same factory with and without the brand attached.

Damn no stock near me. Shipping at $14 not quite as tempting.

Plenty of stocks in Adelaide but I don't think I need another cooler bag when I have an Uber food delivery bag already
- 1

But what if the zipper breaks on the Uber bag? Or you come across someone whose cooler bag has had a catastrophic blowout at the bottom? Don't you want to be the hero your town deserves?

Did you get the food delivery bag for free?

In my experience ANKO stuff is rubbish for anything more than 1-2 uses but this bag does look decent for $12.

I am hoping for $12 it can handle a couple of whiting and salmon.
Fully loaded with soft drink cans and ice might be a different story.
No zippers on it, which would be the first thing to go, so I have high hopes, fingers crossed.- 2

12 uses for $12
$1 each use- 3

I like the financial angle you are coming at with this.
This is Ozsmarting.- 3

Any good deals on a backpack that can fit a laptop and lunchbox?

Label says "do not use cooler as a step ladder"

Doesn't make sense for this cooler but for hard case coolers it does. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DYQ1HfwNayZ/

The funniest part to me is that the ring doorbell is ground level and set up in a way that makes this looked staged.
If this is staged, how many takes did this person do of them deliberately tumbling off the cooler?
Haha.- 1

I was about to buy a bunch of them and fill them with cola cans to create a diy set of stairs, to save bigly, before I saw that warning, I bet the warning was put on there by the big stair and ladder corporations. /s

No deal for me then. Still on the hunt for one that doubles as a step ladder. Good for the worksite

I managed to place an order for delivery

Right you are.
My bad.
I thought online ordering from Kmart was not an area specific thing.
It is out of stock in my area, after I changed to a different place it said it was available to order again.
Thanks for this.- 2

Price looks okay but how is it different to putting two or three Coles/Woolworths 'cool bags' inside of each other in your own backpack?
Would be great depending on interior space taking hot secured takeaway or hot/cold food home if sufficiently insulated.

Thanks, ordered for c&c so hopefully that’s successful.

um btw guys did you see the article, Kmart is going to open a huge home/furniture store to compete with IKEA.
but tbh seems like they are just going to bring bargain ANKO branded furniture probably in the $10~$40 range (going by their popular $1~$10 Kmart products), so cheaper than IKEA but also probably way worse quality. also tbf Ikea's plastic item quality has gone down a lot, you have to check the % recycled plastic in materials, the more % the worse quality the plastic is.
idk anko seems to be very popular by australian consumers so it will probably do well. and IKEA doesn't have that many locations either so not hard to compete with.
