      KSC75 is arguably not worth it at $35 either, but it's certainly better than this.

      Look into the Moondrop Old Fashioned, the FiiO EH11 if you want to get particular about the cable and will EQ a dash. There's also the Aune AC45 and AC55 if you want to get silly with it.

        Bad use of a down vote. This and the KSC75 are totally different products.

        Highlighting alternatives is not a good reason either. I would buy the Koss above all those you mentioned.

          Did you even read the post I'm replying to? Did you know someone posted a Koss KSC75 deal yesterday? Did you click on the product page on OzB and see the price history?

          Did you even look at the alternatives? Why are you here?

          Every headphone I mentioned or referred to is an on-ear open back headphone, same as the Porta Pro. In total there are 3 with headbands, 3 with earclips.

              @Ryanek: Not every Porta Pro model has a mic and the Amazon listing seems to be the basic model without one. The FiiO has a mic. All of the mics are terrible and you would be wise to use anything else.

              Do you have any reason to be here, or did you just not even spend a mere second on what was presented?

        @jasswolf Why FiiO EH11? Those are bluetooth. I thought wired (either Koss Porta Pro or Moondrop Old Fashioned or KSC75 headband mod) would be the way to go because wired offers superior audio quality?

            @Felume: As I said, the Aune series is if you want to get silly with it. It was nice to see 3 companies drop a fantastic update for a largely forgotten form factor. I'm expecting to see more players in the space over coming years due to the increasing demand for VR/AR earphones and earspeakers.

            The KSC75 used to sit at that price for years, and go on sale for close to $20, and probably is still available for around that if you buy 2 via the US in either a Koss sale or maybe Drop if they still stock them, or the KPH30i (which is the Porta Pro's spiritual successor), or the KPH40, but they have all been moved past after a huge 25 years from Koss.

            FiiO EH11 availability seems to be limited, but they're fine for battery life and codec support via LDAC. Much better audio quality and much more featured than the Porta Pro at the same price, and great with appropriate EQ.

            The Moondrop is the wired alternative that's $30 on Amazon for Prime members via discount, and cheaper still via AliE sales with codes and cashbacks. Probably the best sounding out of the box before reaching for the Aune series if you want to drop that much cash.

            Look into reviews if you want more info, I think I've been more than fair given you've effectively doubled-down on the previous poster's mindless spray.

      lol I loved them back in 1988. I wouldn’t buy again them now. The foam ear pads are incredibly thin, wear out quickly and fall off easily. And the stupid clips that hold them together when folded have a habit of sticking into your ear. Bad design 40 years ago and still a bad design today.
