PlayStation 5 Pulse Elite Wireless Headset $145 Delivered / C&C @ Target

100

Midnight Black also same price $145 C&C

all time low according to previous deals. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/product/pulse-elite-wireless-he…

I previously posted for $159 C&C. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/941333

some things worth knowing I remember from reviews. the EQ cannot be adjusted unless you have a PS5. I was going to just take it EB Game store and use the PS5 there to change the EQ, then take it home.

also Planar inside is very fragile. it's literally metal that's a micron thick, like 0.001mm or something. it can be damaged easily by pushing on the cups too hard while wearing. if that happens you get a rattling sound constantly, and it's not fixable. you need them to replace the whole Planar inside.

Copypasta:
cheap for planar headset with Type C dongle.

this is what I expected it to drop to BF on Amazon. it didn't but that didn't stop everyone from clearing them out at $179 on amazon.
here it is for $159 but limited stock and C&C only. without entering postcode I see a whole list of stores all showing orange "Limited stock".

when I enter postcode available stores aren't near me but ymmv. but that's fine I don't need this anymore I lost interest while waiting for price to drop. 😂

because type-c it should give you low latency sound for gaming on tablets such as iPad (with USB-C port).

should have posted a few days ago but sorry I'm on a break from socials.

  • Do these still have the disconnection issues that’s plague this headset since release?

    • yeah I heard about that. but also after watching many reviews, saw multiple videos of people solving it by putting the dongle at the end of a short OTG USB-C cable, they said disconnection was caused by wireless noise interference from the back of PS5/PC's.

btw i didn't believe this was even possible until a few years ago, my external HDD caused the exact same issue. when I plugged it my wireless keyboard and mouse would freeze and drop connection (I thought it was freezing at first, later noticed it's wireless connection drop). it took me a while to figure out that it only happens when the HDD was plugged in USB. creating lots of wireless noise. if unplugged my devices worked perfectly.

I didn't buy it btw. lost interest while waiting for price to come down to more like $99. the main reason I would not buy, is because planar is very fragile, if you even slightly push on the earcup while you are wearing it, the pressure of the air can damage them permanently. it's a common issue with Audeze Maxwell (basically almost identical product) and headphone people will tell you its just a thing with planar you have to be very careful.

  • These are notoriously bad. The headband snaps easily.

    • yeah I saw a youtube short about that too. someone in NZ shaming Sony for not offering to fix it after it snapped.

but tbf where else can you get wireless planar headphone for $145..

  • sorry guys forgot to change the title after copy pasting. 😅

  • Would skip these.

Unreliable connection, unreliable construction, inability to EQ outside of PS5, sound quality roughly upper midrange.

    • well in this case in Australia lucky you can deal with the store that sells it (I think I read on ozb somewhere this is ACL law) instead of Sony.

if it snaps, take it to target and money back.

      • But why buy something knowing you're going to have to play the warranty game? The law you're talking about is the "reasonable durability" one - and that can be an extremely tiresome process and you have to argue for it.

        • ok that's fair tbh you sound like you know more about ACL then me.

I didn't buy it btw but because I thought the planar technlogy seemed too fragile to deal with. compared to normal speaker headphones that you can push against your head, drop them sit on them and they are fine. I don't drop or sit on my headphones btw but still planar sounded too easy to damage and it's permanent no possible fix.

  • just realised same price at Kmart and Big W.

if you can get newsletter discount, I think Kmart still does and they don't care if you use another kayfabe email situash I done it a few times.

JB has it for $149 if you have $10 Perks for Birthday you can get it for $139 C&C. afaik 2026 BigW and JB will F with you for making using sign ups multiple times.

  • I grabbed them. I have a wired headset that constantly gets tangled so I'm keen to try a wireless headset. Hopefully they are comfortable.

  • I got the 3D Pulse headset. Headband snapped a little bit outside of warranty period… As decent as the audio was, never again. Such a freaking pain in the ass when you have to source new ones on short notice…

  • Audeze nuts.

  • $229 now expird.
