        I'm in the same boat, bought Colombia at 40% off and Mysore. I can't see how to change the order h only to Buy Again?

        My order is scheduled for 22/6. Is there a reason I can't change it (eg because it has the Mysore as well)?

        EDIT: I tried again, and was able to edit the order, worked perfectly (after I inadvertently added an extra kilo of beans)!

    Even if I buy 3kg Colombia Single Origin - still not enough for free delivery. But unless you are a cafe amounts like 3kg will become stale towards the end. And with free delivery not a deal any more. Makes more sense to just buy Colombian at Aldi.

      Yes Aldi is consistently good. But fresh nope. And other companies in Melbourne charge $10 to $15 for standard shipping these guys do $6.99. I've paid like $90kg beans for so called premium single origin and even St Ali beans on special are $65 kg for single origin still feel/taste like old roasts. Get these beans freeze them until you use them. For the quality and freshness limeblue is amazing.

      Just freeze them. I had 4kg of LB sitting in my chest freezer at one stage. They stay fresh (and you don't get the nervous feeling hitting the bottom of the bag waiting for another deal to materialise)

        I can do arithmetic just fine as well. It is ozb so I am trying to maximise savings here. Besides, just checked Colombian is cheaper at Aldi.

        What we can not do is to beat Aldi price and make a free delivery for at least 2kg pack, but we can count just fine.

          Understand savings are important. We only try to compete with ourselves, so def not trying to compete with supermarkets. Supermarkets often view coffee beans as a "loss leader." Also it provides a different experience, not saying it's better or worse, just different; it's a different coffee from Colombia, available in-store at a different level of freshness and there's a different between driving there, grabbing a bag yourself off the shelf, waiting in line and driving home compared to getting your order specifically packed and sent to you for an additional $6.99 subsidised shipping fee. We do offer click and collect as well if you're near Moorabbin, VIC. Anyway I hope you place an order with us, but no stress at all if we're not the right fit for you and you order elsewhere, at the end of the day the main thing is that you're enjoying your morning coffee and are happy with the price you pay!

            @LimeBlueCoffee: There are two types of people in this world: those who get supermarket coffee and those who pay double the price.
            Once you have your 50% special you get dangerously close to the supermarket prices, so we start considering them as the supermarket alternative. It is around 10% more expensive than Aldi Colombian - not that bad. But only with free delivery. (And by the way, no one drives to the supermarket just to get coffee, we also buy food from there).
            4 1kg will occupy too much space in my freezer - and I have two freezers, to be able to fit all of the cheap food from specials. Thus, it is a bit hard to make it all work unfortunately.

Not going to push back on what you're saying as it seems like you're certain of your opinion and we don't seem to be the ideal fit for you, but hopefully I can clear up anything I could have communicated better :)

                  • We don't compete with any other company. I just mentioned Supermarkets as you brought it up so I made my answer more specific. Not aiming to compete with others has nothing to do with "moral high ground," it's just how things make most sense to me. I find it best to only compete against ourselves, as it doesn't generally get great results competing with others because you either find yourself following which likely means you're competing against a different level of resources or leading in which case if competing against others the motivation to do better can disappear when you're on top. Whereas competing against yourself means you're always pushing to do better and forever motivated

                  • The two Colombia coffees are different coffees, they are simply grown in the same country but are of different objective qualities and relative costs. An analogy of this is there are several Espresso Machine manufacturers in Italy, but prices across different brands varies

                  • We generally have 16 different coffees available. Dropping prices, lowers the barriers to entry for people to try different coffees they otherwise wouldn't. I did not look at any prices offered by any other company before posting this deal, so the cost of this coffee is just the best we can offer today and has not been influenced by coffee prices of any other company

                  • As mentioned the free threshold for this deal kicks in at 3kg

                  • We have customers that unlock free shipping and freeze, as well as customers who get through 3kg in under a month. Some customers consume more than other and some pool orders with friends, colleagues, neighbours or family members to get free shipping

                  • By subsidised shipping I mean it general it costs us more than customers pay

                  • Unit economics is in the eye of the beholder, so although it make not make sense for you to order from us, it has made sense to other. Not an issue for me when it doesn't make sense for someone to order as I understand that's just part of running a business, different strokes…

                    Here is the practical breakdown for a normal household:
                    1. The 3kg Freshness Paradox
                    3kg of coffee makes roughly 165 cups. If you drink two cups a day, that supply lasts nearly 3 months. Fresh coffee doesn't stay fresh on a pantry shelf for 90 days. Buying bulk just to avoid a shipping fee completely kills the exact "freshness" advantage you are selling.
                    2. The 2kg Sweet Spot
                    Most successful coffee deals on OzBargain set the free shipping threshold at 2kg. It is a reasonable amount a normal household can actually finish while it is still fresh, without needing to sacrifice finite freezer space.
                    3. Shifting the Logistics
                    Suggesting that customers need to coordinate group buys with their neighbors or colleagues just to purchase a bag of coffee proves the deal structure is broken for a regular buyer.
                    You don't need to compete with ALDI, but you do have to compete with how a human being actually consumes coffee. If a deal requires me to start a neighborhood syndicate or clear out my freezer just to make the savings work, it isn't a fit for the wallet.

                    P.S. The voting logic here is fascinating. Downvoting the person actively pushing the vendor for a lower 2kg free shipping limit—which would literally benefit every single regular buyer in this thread—just to protect a corporate PR deflection is peak OzBargain behavior. Enjoy paying the freight tax, guys.

                      I completely appreciate 2kg with free shipping would be amazing, so I agree that we'd likely get more orders, but in doing so we'd likely also go out of business, which would mean no more deals for anyone. You could provide the most sound reasoning possible for us to offer 2kg at a 50% plus free shipping Australia wide, but our costs are what they are so we simply can't viably do it. If you find someone that can offer you exactly what you're looking for and you're happy with their product, then that'd be fantastic news for you and them, so I really hope you can find what you're looking for!

                      You are trying to get everyone a better deal.

                      But, if you don't like the deal, don't buy it!

                      If you have a sufficiently good reason to neg - it, do so.

                      Colombian coffee is a domain of its own. They are not a supermarket. They sell coffee. And that is what you are buying. I assume the discounted price diminishes the price of shipping? Take that benefit or don't.

                      Buy a third freezer :) or get a bigger one if you have the $$$. I wish I could for the same reason you listed, helps save lots of $$$.

                      Otherwise, it is what it is!

                      May be try organise a group buy and get those discounts, reach a level, get X discount/free shipping. That would be a good idea.

                        As much as I’d love a third freezer, running another appliance just to store a coffee bulk-buy would completely wipe out the savings on the electricity bill alone. The two I have are already maxed out with actual high-value food specials.

                        You’re 100% right—it is what it is, and it’s a definite pass for me. The only reason I'm breaking down the math in the comments is because that's what OzBargain is for: figuring out if a "deal" actually saves a normal household money once you factor in real-world shipping and storage.

                        A group buy is a good idea in theory, but coordinating a neighborhood coffee syndicate just to bypass a freight fee is way too much life admin for a morning brew.

        Arithmetic does not care about the corporate structure of the vendor.

        The argument that a "small business" automatically deserves a financial premium is a marketing illusion. Independent fruit and vegetable markets consistently undercut the Coles/Woolworths duopoly on price while delivering vastly superior produce.

        Coffee is the singular retail sector where consumers have been successfully conditioned to pay an emotional tax for "good vibes" and boutique packaging. If an independent greengrocer can beat supermarket prices on physical quality and logistics without demanding a premium, a coffee roaster does not get a free pass on basic math just because they are small.

        If the final delivered cost does not justify the functional utility of the beans, it is a bad deal. The size of the business is irrelevant to the wallet.

      I would say get a bag or two of Aldi Beans (maybe the medium roast and one of the single origins) to hone your skills. Once you're confident dialling in weight/grind/time get some LB - there is a "sale" every two weeks. I've found the Brazil São Paulo Single Origin very consistent and easy to use

    Trying batch brew now using the Fellow Aiden Precision and the Fellow Ode Gen 2.

    What bean would you recommend, and if you’re familiar with this equipment, what settings/recipe would you suggest. Particularly for grinding, I think that’s the most challenging variable.

      I've heard good things about the Aiden, but haven't personally used it. Have a decent amount of exp with Ode Gen 1 (with and without Gen 2 burr upgrades). For pour over Ode Gen 2 around a 4 is a good starting point and then adjust as needed from there. Ratio wise I'd recommend 21g dose : 350g water with 3:00-3:15 very roughly speaking total brew time

      In terms of my coffee recommendations it comes down to your personal flavour preferences :)

      1) Are you after chocolate, caramel, fruity or a combo of flavour notes?
      2) Keen for a low, medium or high acidity kick?

    Hi guys just brought Mysore coffee! Very different to every coffee I have had ? Any particular guideline to get a perfect milk coffee for Mysore ?

        Breville express impress and my cup is just the size of Corelle 11 oz cup. I do 2 shots of expresso and milk .

          For your specific set up I'd recommend using a 16 gram dose, extracting 32 grams of espresso in around 27 seconds :)
