MK World is a bloated for the sake of bloat.
The open World is so empty and meaningless - even attempting to track the coins/ P-switches, etc. is nonexistent! — and the Intermission tracks are such a slog.
The devs had one job to do for so many years!…sigh….
I went into this game expecting depth like Super Mario World (you know - because of the 'World' name).
What a (profanity) massive disappointment - even the track selections is not spectacular (compared even to the base MK8, 7, Wii and DD).
I play it split screen sometimes with a mate and the graphics go all hazy, MK8 looks far better, less going on I guess
Only MK to date to ever be 60fps in 3 or 4 players split screen has been MK Double Dash!!
Shame that every MK after that has not prioritised that - despite the 4-player split-screen feature being what defined the Mario Kart games from the N64.

The shortcuts people are getting these days are pretty crazy - I do think the game is quite fun!
Yeah I definitely had fun with it. Just as a successor to MK8, it left a lot to be desired. I also thought they would have released some form of dlc like an island with zany layouts (as Nintendo love islands) or something by now too. But no love even in the direct I believe, bit odd.
People feeling quite "Mid" as the cool kids say about the switch 2 "main" games really holds me back from buying one and just playing Switch 1 games via…………other methods.

I don't want to wish on anyone a bad thing — but I sincerely hope Nintendo suffers very slow sales…. and this is coming from me as a recent ex-fan of theirs.
Nintendo can't continue churning out (or not at all) 1st-Party shit quality and charge a full-length shaft worth. (eg. MKW, Tennis Fever, Metroid Prime 4, and soon a (Profanity) 1:1 remake of StartFox)
Nintendo needs to eat Humble Pie soon. They perform and respect customers better when humbled. (Remember the GC, 3DS, and Wii U)
Any company blaming that it's taking forever to make games is using that as an excuse, AND is not planning their time/ devs well.
A very good company that indeed is managing its time, devs and output lately is Capcom and Square Enix. They have been producing good games with good spacing between each - and Multiplatform at that!.
I can't deal with paying 80 bucks for Pokopia and now having to fork out another 55 or whatever for the expansion pass. 130 bucks for a game.
I miss the days of just….buy game….that's the game…the whole game. Pay 0 dollars more.
Then it's now pay for online now pay for all the accessories. I stare at my 700 games I have on PC that so many were free and just can't give Nintendo money.
I enjoy this game a lot. I find it heaps fun to drive around the huge map doing little things as I go. Watch some reviews if you're on the fence, but I'd rate it
