[QLD, ACT] IKEA Linanäs 3-Seat Sofa with Chaise Lounge (Vissle Beige) $224.70 (Was $749, 70% off) @ IKEA

2330

Hey guys,

First time posting a deal here, so please go easy on me!

Was hunting around for a cheap 3-seater sofa and stumbled across this massive 70% off clearance deal at IKEA Logan. Down to $224.70 from $749, which is a pretty crazy markdown for a lounge with a chaise.

I almost hit the buy button right then and there, but the wife vetoed it after looking at the reviews. It sits at a 3-star average from about 100 reviews on the IKEA site, so it's definitely on the budget side.

That said, everyone has a different bottom! What's uncomfortable for one person might be perfectly fine for someone else, or maybe you just need something cheap and cheerful for a rental, a kids' playroom, or a rumpus room where you don't care if it gets a bit battered.

Thought I'd share it here anyway just in case anyone is on the lookout for a bargain and doesn't mind a firmer sit.

Quick Specs:

  • Price: $224.70 (Was $749)
  • Deal Dates: 10 June to 13 July 2026 (or while stocks last)
  • Stock: Showing available for Click & Collect and in-stock at Logan, QLD. Check your local postcode for delivery options.

  • I gotted one

  • Awesome find OP!

  • ikea couches a bit uncomfortable wonder if thats the case with this one

    • pretty much every single one but for this price can't really complain too much

      • Just get a couple of wide flat cushions to sit on.

        • For slightly taller, longer legged or bigger people, the back/top half is left "hanging in the air", with no support.
Go for it though, it is cheap enough, but is on the smaller size.
Try before you buy to check suitability.
Great for kids and other smaller people.

          • @marcozmitch: I wouldn’t buy it because we don’t need another couch. We do have an IKEA three seater with chaise longue in our snug area. We just leave in the bed mode so everyone gets leg support. We have a futon mattress we’ve put over it so it isn’t too firm when we sit on it and it is also the mattress when guests sleep on it.

As a lounge we have a big blanket we use as a cover over the top.

            • @try2bhelpful: Good idea!
I wonder if you put two of these together, with a futon and a middle "box" for support, how much of a sleeping ensemble it could be?

              • @marcozmitch: I wouldn’t risk it. The middle of the night isn’t a great time for your guests to try reassembling their bed because it all moved apart.

We bought a Friheten pretty cheap from the scratch and dent area in IKEA Richmond. It was a weird beige and orange combination but with the blanket cover you don’t see the original couch colour.

      • Not true. Had this one for a couple of years, before moving interstate, and it was great. Very comfortable. And machine washable! (which is a must with children/pets)

  • This is a REAL bargain!

    • Finally a REAL bargain after I just ordered my sofa.

    • It's great.. unless you sit on it… then …it isn't

  • great price

  • Doll house furniture.

  • Cheaper than those 10 years old used sofa

  • we've been longuing for new sofa

  • good for my film recording office

    • Black is preferred?

      • Being a Film Director is preferred!

    • Is that for the casting couch film with a few brothers as actors

  • Reviews are horrific!

    • One star reviews are more than 5 stars…..no wonder they try to get rid of it

  • What you save on the couch you can use on physiotherapy later.

    • That couch is basically the price of a physio new patient visit. 😂

  • No in WA

  • 100% polyester (min. 70% recycled), 100% polypropylene

    That's expensive for recycle plastic…

  • From the reviews, this model isn't really buttering people's muffins.

  • Life is too short to sit on a crappy uncomfortable couch

    • 101% true.

  • Reviews says it all. I will pass

  • Back too low as a sofa.

    • It appears the backrest is only 30cm.

Maybe okay for kids but I like my back fully supported when I relax in a sofa.

    • No, you can either have dark gey or off-white beige.
The choice is for a lounge in either colour.
Original price of $750 is for a lounge, NOT just the cover.

    • it’s definitely not

      • @dosada: go to SpecSavers.
You can also get it without the chaise, if you don't have the room.

    • pretty sure its the sofa, you just get to select which cover it comes with.

    • Hahaha

    • I love when my cover is made from

100% polyester (min. 70% recycled), 100% polypropylene, Fibreboard, Felt liner, Plywood, Polyurethane foam 25 kg/cu.m., Laminated veneer lumber

      • Imagine putting that in the washing machine.

        • Many of these IKEA lounges not every cover comes off, so if you wash them they look new compared to the other bits that's you can't wash

  • Sofa so good?

  • None in Sydney, no delivery.

    • I could see delivery available for pincode in Sydney

      • Same but next screen no delivery. Click and collect 250km away lol

  • “Was $749”.

  • Great deal, I would've bought one if i still have the space. The reviews are not really relevant if you're looking for a budget sofa, For <$250 this is probably the most comfortable 3 seater sofa you can get.

  • Definitely urge people to check the reviews on IKEA… Many people are complaining that's it's uncomfortable

  • I agree with your wife. Poor man pays twice. $220 for a couch that looks uncomfortable, has awful reviews and looks like it's 70% the size of a proper couch is a waste of $220 - is it for kids only??

Tbh I'd rather spend $200 on a decent second hand leather lounge on FB marketplace than this landfill throw away stuff that will be on hard rubbish in 12 months time.

I've looked at the couches in Ikea in the past and sat in them, they never feel quite right to me, compared to when sitting in proper couches. I think it would just annoy me every time I sat in it.

    $749 - I don't think it's worth anywhere near that!

    • Or you could look at a decent second hand one from an Op shop

    • $200 on real leather?? Where do you see that?

      looks uncomfortable

I wonder if that's a matter of taste. Some people like submerging in the couch; I prefer more support. Not like stiff upper lip "sit up properly, boy!", but not like quicksand either.

      • A bit of both agreed, some support but also comfort. This looks like you're sitting on a bus stop bench.

    • Cheers for backing her up, mate! Tell ya what, here’s how the rest of the saga went down:

The Missus: "Hon, ditch the couch. We need a clothes dryer."
Me: "But our current lounge is bloody dead, we need a new one!"
The Missus: "Nah, that's just you wanting to park your backside on a new couch all day, sinking beers and doing jack all."
Me: "Fair suck of the sauce bottle! I do help with the laundry!"
The Missus: "Yeah, only because you’ve got nowhere to sit! Stop whinging and go buy the dryer!"
Me: "No way, I want the new couch!"
The Missus: "Rightio, options are: no clothes all winter. You can go starkers."
Me: "Sweet, I’ll just sit on my new couch in the nude then!"
The Missus: "Or you can sleep out on the street in the nude."
Me: "…Right. Buying the dryer. No couch."

  • Stack with Ikea GC at WW.

See if I can make it as dinning couch.

  • it worth $199.60 at ikea buyback
    https://www.ikea.com/au/en/second-hand/
so after using giftcard , maybe there is a profit some how , for at least for collecting credit card points etc, worth it if you have a van to take and sell it back to them ?
    big thought

    • 26% buy back? Okay

    • if you have a van to take and sell it back to them ?

That's a lot of effort for minimal gains.

  • Any other sofa / store recommendations on buying something comfy in a similar style?

  • The model posing on the sofa looks like she's doing the opposite of lounging. Looks about as comfortable as sitting on a plank of wood.

  • One in stock in ACT if you want to try your luck.

  • How is the quality like?

  • I feel sorry for the ppl that paid $749

    • Not a single one returned the couch. Probably because they could no longer walk after sitting on it.

  • Cheap and nasty…. pair with a ffalcon $249 tv and youre all set

  • Should I buy this or should I get some rocks from my garden and sit on them instead? Based on the reviews it seems like the rocks will be as comfortable as this couch so I may just get the rocks.

  • Btw, how it compare to this Kmart one?
    https://www.kmart.com.au/product/advwin-3-seater-modular-sof…

When K-home opens I guess I don't need to travel to Ikea anymore.

    • thats not sold by K-mart

      • No, too early for K home

    • No way, Ikea design still better.

  • Was going to get one, but wife had a look through some videos and apparently the material is very prone to creasing, is stiff and fairly cheap feeling.

Get it, if you need a new couch - but you'll probably replace this again at some point

Opted to not buy and just save for one we like

    • Same as me. Had a look at some close ups and it reminded my of that super cheap IKEA couch look (the cheap thin fabric)
There more to a couch than just discounted price

  • I picked one up click and collect. It comes in boxes and is VERY light. I can tell it's going to be flimsy/sh1t. $224 bucks tho.

  • Mine came in two boxes btw..

  • Looks like back in stock for delivery order. Now I want this 2-seat one due to space. No one posted this?
