Apple AirPods Pro 3 $329 + Shipping ($0 to Metro) @ Officeworks / $330 + Shipping ($0 C&C / in-Store) @ JB Hi-Fi

460

Been following the price for a while, looks to be cheapest. If you know of any way to make it even cheaper through coupons or gift cards then please post in the comments.
Not sure if its a good idea to hold for the new ones which could come out in Sept but the price is not likely to be less at start so might as well get these.

  • Missing the Pro*

    • Noted, didn’t get a chance to post many deals to posted this in haste and rushed to JB :)

      • Thank you @scrimshaw for the pro edit :)

  • Suddenly AirPods are being discounted left and right.

There must be a version 4 due really soon.

    • You mean Apple AirPods 5 because 4 is ready out ☺️

      • we're talking about the Pros

        • Oh Okie then yes his right 🙂

    • Could be but I doubt it, there were 3 years between the Pro 2 and Pro 3 and the Pro 3 were released last year.

    • The rumours say, new version of AirPods Pro is due in September. Apple may introduce micro camera so that Siri can guide the user based on the surroundings. The new version may exist current AirPods or may create a new branch…

      • It is the same rumour at this time every year though. I’m with the black falcon on this.

      • That release might take a turn for the worse in Europe due to privacy laws.

Is it worth Apple releasing it everywhere else or just scrap it and focus on other products?

  • For those following the BDS movement just letting y'all know that Apple is on the list.

    • I guarantee a majority of the goods you own are from companies on the list (or yet to be on the list).

      Boycotting is nonsense.

      • Just because we bought products in the past due to ignorance or lack of information does not mean we keep perusing through life in the same manner. I have strayed away as best I can from products that I know benefit the zionist regime and so have my jewish mates who are also anti-zionist. This has also allowed me to always scrutinise every purchase and allow me to be more grateful to be able to purchase things locally as much as is practicable.

Haven't personally bought any microsoft product for years (purchased lifetime microsoft office long time ago from ebay and don't need to ever buy anything.)

the place where I work obviously pays for enterprise windows, office apps, copilot etc but thats not something I can change and there is no practical solution bring about change so its about doing what we can where we can so that we may be able to sleep at night knowing we did our part.

Boycotting is the easiest way to stop supporting entities that support the zionist regime and you are wrong when you say that boycotting is nonsense.

        • They’re both war criminals, brother. Stop pretending to be above it all.

          • @dongltron: i am not pretending to be above it all nor am I. Understanding and accepting the argument is your choice.

            • @AS1253: mhm. you still support a war criminal country either way. how about being against any war at all? that would be much nicer.

              • @dongltron: then you'd have to be a communist and im all for that 👉👉

marxists are truly the only ones who understand capitalism and have any empathy.

in the mean time BDS is not useless at all

              • @dongltron: I dont understand what you are trying to say? My point is that some things are unavoidable. I did my entire schooling in Australia and my permanent job is here, are you suggesting that I leave the country to stop paying tax to the australian government? - not saying that as a jab, thats the only honest conclusion I can come to with your statement

                • @AS1253: Wrong comment, mate. Your reply has nothing to do with what I said whatsoever.

    • Oh, you’re racist?

      • against zionists, rapists, cops, fascists and capitalists yes.

but none of those are traits from birth and are immensely unethical positions.

        • gross, an ACAB.

    • Unless I'm missing something, they're not on the list.

      https://bdsmovement.net/Guide-to-BDS-Boycott

    • "The Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement is a Palestinian-led"

      Yeah no thanks

  • Got these in the previous deal for $260, awesome headphones

    • Wow, that price sounds too good.. please share the the wisdom / tips on how did you manage to find the low price..

      • Hey I bought it on everyday market on Woolies when top cash back had a cashback promo. Paid $360 and then got $90 cash back, so my math was wrong it was $270

        • Was it from pavilion? Grey import?

          • @Alley Cat: I bought from Woolworths group, honestly cannot tell if they’re a grey import!

I contacted Apple and they said if they were they’d extend the warranty to 2 years and put it on my account

  • Price beat at officeworks too

    • Office works is 1$ less

  • Same price at Amazon.

  • if you leaving the country within 3 months claim back the GST :)

    • 2 months

  • this is good deal in recent times. but confused over new version coming out in 3 months times. Should i wait for Airpod Pro 4 ?

    • they speculate it won't be a 4 but will be called "ultra."

  • If I get for $300 I can write it off right?

  • Update: Officeworks price is now $349 (JB is still $330). Price beat came in at $313.50

    • Bought from Officeworks with price beat for $313.50 just now. Thanks for the tip.

    • Should have priced match Big W. After beating by 5% would have been $312.55

  • Any significant downsides to using this with an Android device?

    • What still works on Android

      ✅ Bluetooth pairing

      ✅ Active Noise Cancellation (ANC)

      ✅ Transparency Mode

      ✅ Touch/stem controls

      ✅ Phone calls and microphone

✅ Good sound quality using AAC audio codec

      What you lose on Android

      ❌ Instant Apple pairing

      ❌ Automatic switching between devices

      ❌ Full Find My tracking

      ❌ Siri integration

❌ Spatial Audio and some advanced head-tracking features

      ❌ Easy battery status display

❌ Firmware updates (usually requires access to an Apple device)

❌ Full customization of controls and settings

❌ Some health and ecosystem features introduced on newer AirPods models.

      • Good write up. This was a consideration for me, I use a Samsung phone and actually ended up replacing the Samsung Buds4 Pro with the Airpods Pro 3. For me what I lost isn't as important as how effective the ANC is and, despite online reviews seeming to suggest they are very close, for me the Buds4 Pro ANC just wasn't doing it.

  • Struggled a bit to understand the title but noting that it's currently:
    * $330 @ Officeworks / TheGoodGuys
    * $331 @ JB Hifi
    * $329 @ Amazon
Managed to get it price beat at Officeworks against Amazon this morning for $312.55

  • Bought a pair of these from JB Hi-Fi Yesterday, also saved $10 with a welcome coupon by signing up for the JB Hi-Fi perks which is a free signup.
