What will stop me getting my cashback

  • Cashback is ineligible on any purchases/bookings for use or consumption in Japan.
  • Cashback is ineligible on any 'Activities' category purchases. Some select 'Special Activities' (if eligible) will track at the rate specified in the cashback table of rates. Theme Parks are classified as 'Special Activities'.
  • Cashback is ineligible on food & dining; shopping vouchers; eSIM top-up; events; flights; payments using Klook Cash; items not listed in the cashback table of rates.
  • Cashback is ineligible on use of any coupon codes not advertised on our platform.
  • Cashback is ineligible on use of gift cards, vouchers, or store credit for partial or full payment. Cashback is also ineligible on purchase of gift cards.

What else is essential

  • Cashback is not available on travel agency rates, promotional discount rates, and on member, group or partner rates.
  • TopCashback has no control over the purchase category reported by KLOOK. The advertised cashback rates at time of purchase are final.
  • Engaging with plugins such as Honey, AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole, VPNs, DNS AdGuard, and browsers such as Brave may prevent your order from tracking.
  • Accept and allow all 3rd party cookies on the retailer's page if requested.
  • Return to TopCashback to click the 'Get Cashback' button for each new transaction.
  • Transactions must be completed solely & wholly online and must not be assisted or negotiated via phone/chat/email. Failure to do so will cause tracking to fail and/or have cashback declined.

Good to know

  • KLOOK orders report to your account excluding GST and other taxes, and may show a further difference in purchase amount due to international conversion rates. This is beyond our control.
  • Most retailers calculate cashback based on purchase amount excluding GST, other taxes, and delivery fees. Your cashback may report lower than expected due to this.
  • If any part of an order is cancelled, returned, exchanged, modified, or credited, the entire order will become ineligible and cashback will be declined.

TA's Tracking Tips:

  • Prior to using TopCashback, disable/remove all 3rd party plugins (AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole, DNS AdGuard, Honey, etc), VPNs, avoid browsers such as Brave, close additional browser tabs, and don't click away to other sites after clicking from TopCashback AU as tracking will be lost.
  • For iOS device: Apart from ensuring you’re not using an AdBlock app for Safari, the most important one is to ensure you have ‘Prevent Cross-Site Tracking’ turned off (see here).

  • Checked for car hire and it is still more expensive than Trip.com after the cashback.

  • I've noticed that when searching for hotels, they jack up the price when you search via the cashback link by the amount of the cashback. So definitely avoid for hotels. That being said, for the experiences, I don't think they can jack up the price, so it is a genuine deal. Too bad it's not the 25% from a few weeks ago.

    • Are you sure you have got taxes excluded, price in AUD and not USD? I just checked one hotel as an example. Cost per night is the same across two different browsers; one using the Shopback link and one directly through the klook homepage without cashback. I used two different accounts and they both show the same price. You have to exclude taxes in the filters because you cannot claim cashback on taxes and fees.

      • Oh, I just checked again using the TopCashback link v. Klook direct and they were identical this time. Not sure what happened last time. Although I could have sworn that I was doing the same search, and the only difference was the cashback. Anyway, I suppose it's always worth confirming. Sometimes the prices definitely are different via the cashback portals.

        • It's rather essential to cross check I do agree, anecdotally I've seen differences between booking amalgamation websites and cashback links to the same websites. I've also seen price fluctuations depending on whether you are logged out or logged in to an account, sneaky things like that. There are just a couple of fickle reasons on klook particularly such as a default USD display in prices and whether taxes are included or excluded in your search. It pays to be sceptical!

  • Over 20% cashback for Klook is pretty regular isn't it?

  • is this capped?

    • It's uncapped.

  • I noticed this clause under "what else is essential":

Any bookings made from outside Australia or perceived to be made from outside Australia (ie. using a VPN) will result in untracked or declined cashback. This is at the discretion of Klook (not TopCashback) and claims will not be accepted.

Currently overseas and booked some experiences on Klook (not via VPN, just usual logging in via TCB)- will this invalidate CB?
