SHIPPING: These eBlankets are cheaper than what I can find on AliExpress if you can Click & Collect. If you can't Click & Collect, shipping costs often vary wildly between the 4WDSC eBay store and direct store, and from postcode to postcode. E.g. $10 shipping with eBay but $24 through direct store for my postcode.

Note there's a 30/45/60 minute timer before the blankets turn off for safety, so not suitable for leaving on for a whole night. Otherwise, these are well reviewed by Adventure Kings' standards.

      I think they were $30ea at ALDI, but I haven't seen them in a while. Mine smelt like burning plastic so I chucked it.

        Mine was fine, but I got sick of having a car battery in my lounge room.

        On a serious note I need to wire in a standard 12v transformer because I bought it to use around the house but haven't got around to it

          I did this….2 seat warmers, transformers, temperature switch……wrapped it around my wash barrels for my still. Worked a treat, 7 Years and still going.

            @Packab: Come to think of it, it could be put under my seat cover in the winter so I can see if I appreciate heated seats, don't have them in my car and unsure if I care for them. First time I was ever in a Saab back in the day I had thought I had involuntarily started bleeding

          Yes, tracker appears to be broken for the past month. Nonetheless, it still shows a history of regular samples that show this is a deal. It's also a bargain relative to other stores.

          I have been considering building my own tracker. I'll probably vibe code something when I have the time.

          Yeah, it's been $49 for a few weeks. I posted it now because there's a sale on electric blankets at ALDI so it's a good time to show this potentially (if you need two or 12V) better value alternative.

          I wouldn't be surprised if Kings is running this deal specifically because of the ALDI Special Buys because Kings launched this price when the ALDI put the electric blankets on their website.

          This is how a lot of retailers work, and I've seen Kings do it before, such as with their camp chairs and beach trolleys (see my post history).

          You can ask for them to do a deal but they won't do "better than wholesale", which this deal is marked as, on the spot. That's just not how their system works.

    Definitely worth it. I used mine when I took a date to a drive in movie in July. All the other plebs had their engines turning on and off every 5 minutes to maintain the heat, getting dazzled by the dash lights, while we were cosy warm with the lights off and the windows cracked.

    If you already have throw rugs, another idea is to get an inverter. They are simple resistive devices so they run off modified sine just fine. You can get a 300w inverter (enough to handle two blankets at full power) for $30 from eBay. They even have ones that run off drill batteries

    I got these a while ago and not sure when i'll use them. Not great for a throw type blanket, the size is a bit small, good to cover your legs.
    They work well if they are folded up a bit to trap the warmth or pre-warm a sleeping bag/bed.
    After you muck about with powering them i think you'd be better off with a good blanket.
