Great paper and good price for solid journalism. Big fan. Their 7am podcast is also great and covers most of these stories for free
One of the last sources of real journalism in Australia.
Michael West Media is fairly good for their investigations.
Schwartz Media (owners of The Saturday Paper) sold the 7 am podcast about a year ago. There used to be overlap, but I think there is a clean break now.

I did not know that. I do find the content of the podcast appears to be very similar to some of the main stories in the paper. Good for reading with your ears
Yes, I also love(d) both. The break is a bit of drama though! Pretty interesting ideological split between pro-/anti- Israel/Palestine. I was actually a bit surprised about the position of Schwarz media, but that tracks I guess.

@Tamtu: I subscribed to The Saturday Paper and then couldn't unsubscribe for love or money, so it's reported as spam.

Nothing from the Nine Network, they've just hiked the subs for SMH and The Age yet again, so don't expect any discounts from them. I gave up the printed paper because it was costing me around $800 a year home delivered. Now the digital subs are rising to meteoric levels for some unknown reason. I thought digital distribution was much cheaper. The next price increase will be met with my cancellation. Same with the NYT, been lucky there to have several years on a $2 a month, but they declined at the last renewal. After some haggling I am now paying $4 a month, but they will want me to pay full price at the next renewal, so that will also be reluctantly cancelled. I like the NYT and the regular newsletters. I will just use Pressreader via my State Library after that.
