Hi OzBargain!

We're Tumble Coffee Roasters, a small specialty coffee roaster from Perth, WA, and this is our very first OzBargain post.

We've been lurking for a while and have seen how passionate this community is about finding great coffee, so we thought we'd introduce ourselves with our biggest offer yet.

Why Tumble?

We started Tumble with one simple goal: roast ridiculously good coffee that people actually want to drink every day.

Rather than offering dozens of blends, we've focused on three signature coffees that cover just about every coffee drinker:

Midnight Cowboy – Bold, rich and chocolate-forward with a full body.

First Rodeo – Smooth, balanced and approachable with caramel and roasted nut sweetness.

Sundance – Rich milk chocolate, toffee sweetness and a silky finish.

Every batch is roasted fresh in Perth and packed shortly after roasting for maximum freshness.

A Small Favour

As this is our first OzBargain deal, we'd genuinely love your feedback.

If you've got questions about the blends, brewing methods, roast profiles or subscriptions, I'll be hanging around in the comments and will answer everything as openly as I can.

If you decide to give us a try, we hope Tumble becomes part of your daily routine.

Thanks for giving the new kid a chance, and happy brewing!

  • Good deal for George O'Dowd

    • Thanks JV!

  • Price too high for OZB imo.

    • Totally fair feedback, thank you! We know OzBargain sets a pretty high bar for coffee deals!

Our normal price is $70/kg, so at $42/kg this is the biggest discount we've offered and hopefully a good chance for people to see what we're about.

We're a small Perth roaster focused on fresh specialty coffee rather than chasing the lowest possible price, but we completely understand if we're not for everyone.

If you do decide to give us a crack, we'd genuinely love to hear what you think. Thanks again!

      • Nahh ozb don't set the standard high.. coffee isn't this gangs gig.
Your full price is a little high, but sale price is ok.
One thing that's a little off putting though is the $85 minimum spend for free delivery when two bags will cost $84.
Maybe make the bags $42.50 or lower the free delivery to $84.
Also more info on the beans would be helpful.

  • Who is gonna spend $52 or $126 (three bags to get free shipping lol) to try a new coffee blend/s? Perhaps if it was a SO. But not unknown blends.

I have just about finished my last bag from another coffee specialist, but am looking to buy from Aldi from now onwards - I saw recently they have a much bigger selection of SO's now - has anybody got any feedback on any of these?

    • (three bags to get free shipping lol)

most coffee roasters have a similar limit for free shipping…

      • Yeah, that's why I've stopped buying any coffee via Ozbargain advertisements lol

        • Then you're missing out on bargains lol

    • Fair point Ultraman! The free shipping threshold is actually driven by the economics of sending coffee rather than trying to encourage people to buy more.

Once we factor in fresh roasting, packaging and Australia Post shipping, 3kg is the point where we can offer free shipping and still make the numbers work as a small independent roaster.

We completely understand that buying 3kg of an unknown coffee is a big commitment though. Hopefully over time we'll build enough trust that people feel comfortable stocking up, but for now we're just excited to introduce ourselves to the OzBargain community.

      Thanks for the feedback!

    • If I wasn't very stocked up right now, I'd give the 3x500g set a chance. Works out $76 shipped to Melbourne which is a reasonable trial point.

It's not cheap at $50/kg delivered, but I do like 500g bags for keeping it a bit fresher.

Personally, I don't get the raving over Aldi coffee. Plus SO isn't everything, it still needs to be actually good. Aldi have the scale they can offer a lot of products, but small batch processing gives a lot of control on the output.

      • Haha, we'll happily wait our turn, thanks freefall! Appreciate that, and totally agree on the 500g bags—they're a great sweet spot for keeping things fresh. Hopefully when the stash runs low you'll give us a crack!

      • I also don't get the raving for Aldi coffee. It's fine, but I'd rather pay a bit more for the options and (subjectively) better coffee from dedicated roasters.

  • Aldi beats all the coffee deals, haven't bought since long, I keep getting their fresh batch 😂

    • Was it my imagination or did their "premium" one went from $24.95 to $29.85 in like 6 months?

      • Yeah it went up, but it's very close to their light roast at 17.99 which they raised and dropped again

        • I'll have to try their light roast.

          Thank you

          • @PuppieWayne: I think you mean Medium Roast.

            1kg Coffee Bags $42 + $9.95 Shipping

Not sure how this is a bargain, seems more like another free ad.

    • Do their have fresh roast dates?

      • Yeah they put roast date, so I randomly check it it's within 2 weeks I buy

  • Tumble, good luck with your business!

Hard to start a small business nowadays.. very brave of you guys.

The write up on your blends reminds me of Killer Coffee. You should take a look at their pricing just to see if your pricings need adjustments?

    • Thanks so much for the kind word Wayne, we really appreciate it! It is a pretty daunting time to start a small business, but we love coffee and figured if we were ever going to have a crack, now was as good a time as any.

  • What if we were able to pick up

    • Same thought. Can't seem to see an address on the website though.

      • Thanks for the question, we are working on this and excited to offer this soon!

  • 2 bags at $42 is $84.
    Free shipping at $85.
What a coincidence that it misses by one dollar!

    • 😄 We promise there wasn't a secret meeting to make it miss by $1!

The free shipping threshold is actually the same across our whole store rather than something we changed for this deal. We're always trying to strike a balance between keeping coffee prices sharp and covering shipping costs, but we really appreciate the feedback bboz!

      • Isn't it bleeding obvious you need to lower the free shipping threshold by a measly dollar for this promo?

        • Absolutely love the username! 😂

We're taking all the feedback on board and really appreciate everyone sharing their thoughts.

    • Those 2 you mentioned.

      Holy wow!

I'll have to read up on them more. Do you which blend they have that doesn't leave a bitter after-taste?

    • Thanks Max, we really appreciate the feedback! We're definitely here to learn what works for you so thanks for sharing some suggested offers as well!

  • Pickup in Perth possible?

    • It would be a good option.

    • Hi Merlin, not currently, but working on that :)

  • Honestly is there anything you do that sets you apart from others?

  • Would love it if you offered high quality decaf :-)
