Harman Kardon Citation 700 Soundbar - Black or Grey $229 + Delivery @ McCalls Audio Visual

170

Noticed this deal was back again after seeing the Telstra one with Harman Kardon Enchant 900 for $399. This one is a lot lot older at this point, but does the job plenty well for a great price point.
"$570" off the (fake/inflated) $799 RRP

I have been using this for over 6 months now and no issues, liking it a lot. If you are like me where you can tell the difference between TV speakers and the high end but everything in the middle range is somewhat same same, but you don't need/want to spend an obscene amount to improve TV speaker quality, this is a great middle ground.

Black and grey colours both available at same price this time.
Coming up with about $29.50 shipping to metro Sydney.

  • Beautiful&comma

I like it when it doesn't running around

  • It's a very nice and modern soundbar. Bought it for the same price at Aldi a year or two ago.

  • great sound bar bought it in the aldi sale last year, just cant find a sub ever go on sale.😂

    • Same!

The rep in this deal might be able to look after you on a discounted sub, shoot them a pm. I was very tempted but couldn't bring myself to pulling the trigger on it, and I somewhat value my life as if this thing got delivered the Minister of Finance would have had my head on the block 💀

      • what price are they asking?

  • How does it compare to the Bose soundbars?

  • Have been using this (from aldi deal as well). Its good for the money. Not much of a surround sound feel, but way better than tv speakers (Samsung).

Sometimes it does go mute/ disconnect with Samsung but comes back on after some fiddle.

    Overall happy for the price.

Also, for some reason there are touch screen controls on the top. I mean why, why??

    • incase you lost your remote

  • Thanks. Got one. $229 inc shipping.

  • Why wouldn't you buy the JBL at Telstra that comes with a wrlirleds sub for less money? Surely has to sound better with the sub

    • Some folks don't want the sub.

      • Said no one ever who wanted to watch movies and didn't live in a motorhome

        • Cool man you do you. My mum wants a soundbar to watch the news. thats it.

  • I always seem to have difficulty at the initial set up stage getting external device sounds to come out of soundbars via HDMI (in this case the PC hooked up to the TV and then to the soundbar). If it helps anyone, I found that the same resolution as my last soundbar worked here too, which was to press HDMI/ARC then toggle between OPT and COAX a few times back and forth and then finally switching back to HDMI. Other combinations of those button options may work too.

Only had to do it once to establish a connection/be detected, not sure what the concept is behind it but after all googling and troubleshooting failed, I remembered AHA how about this series of button presses I used to do!

  • It's pretty good for basic listening in my room - it actually has great treble and bass considering the form factor and looks the part. The issue is that you need to have the sub and surround speakers to mess around with the 'levels' feature, it seems. Doesn't help that the sub costs $1200….. either way, it's great for what it is.
