  • Just a side note on this…

I bought this for emulation only

Absolutely smashes everything, up to PS3 with no issues.

    • Is that the Samsung A15?

      • sure is! paired with a cheapo gamesir X5 lite mobile controller too!

        • nice! which games are you playing on PS2 that you have tested? mostly focused on PS2 for me

    • what is the RAM size? ok 4GB

    • Can you play the game on a TV (via HDMI OTG or similar)?

      • Sure, just make sure the controller you use has a passthrough for it.

        • Controllers use Bluetooth or similar? But would have lag I would think?

Screen export size limited to the phone screen resolution?

Would be kind of cool to use a phone as a console. Not sure how you would run, say a USB steering wheel as well etc?

Thinking a Moto G35 is a better deal. Assume it will work as good as this low end Samsung?

    • Are you using it as a mobile gaming device, or hooked up to TV?

  • $550 off Samsung S26 Plus(amaysim.com.au) and S26 Ultra(amaysim.com.au). Cheaper than the current Samsung sale.

The Ultra 256GB is $50 cheaper at Samsung sale and the S26 Plus is the same price (but only 1 colour):

    Galaxy S26 Ultra
    Silver Shadow, 256 GB
    SM-S948BZSAATS
    In stock
    Ships from 22 Jun, 2026
    $1,599.00

    Galaxy S26+
    Pink Gold, 256 GB
    SM-S947BZDAATS
    In stock
    Ships from 29 Jun, 2026
    $1,299.00

  • Note: New customers can buy a discounted starter pack from supermarkets for $12 instead of paying $30

  • S26 Plus is cheaper than the current Samsung sale.

It's the same price; Samsung has 256GB for $1299 as well (but only Pink Gold).

    • Samsung you also get cashback.

  • Only 4GB ram in A15. Is this enough?

    • Enough for a $119 phone used for basic tasks like browsing, streaming videos and calls.

    • You will notice the difference going from my 4GB tablet to 8GB phone the phone is more snappy and reactive. Just install a program that kills background processes and 4GB becomes okay.

  • A15 IS 2 years old lol we are up to A17 plus this is the slowest budget model

    • Feel free to share any deals for the A17 for less than $120

      • A15 not even worth it at this price

        • Feel free to share a better phone deal at this price

          • @shxhshzhz: Or share any deal at all…

It's always the people with the lowest post : comment ratio that are the most critical of people who actually post deals.

  • Does A15 give access to future good Samsung Wallet deals like the ones I have been missing out on here & here?

    • It would take a while to break even

      • True, but you also get a phone out of it. All beit not the best specs.

Would be very true if say, I was going to pay $119 membership to access the deals.

  • For anyone considering A15 to use as a phone for calls and internet: Do not do it. I got it about 2 years ago to use as a basic phone with 5g. A15 is painfully slow and very frustrating to use. Absolutely not worth ANY money at all.

    • It is painfully slow for internet? Any details?

      • App launch is very noticeably laggy. The internet speed itself will be ok, once the browser is up and running. But the laggy launch of the browser, switching between tabs and apps is abysmal. Say you need to get an sms code to log into a website all on your phone, the process would be frustrating. It's not a reasonable phone by any measure.

        • I tried telling them above

  • All time low.

    $119 is a $100 more than the $19 deal.

    • That was a targeted offer.
I never received any code from amaysim.

  • They also have a Moto G35 5G for $99

  • A15 should have released at this price.

This is the phone to get to stop your kids from playing mobile games

  • Has AMOLED display but no Always on Display….. missed it by that much…

  • maybe a silly question, but with the $30 sim pack is there a requirement to activate the sim at all? I ordered for a friend and we just setup the new phone and swapped the existing sim over to the new handset from the old phone as they wanted to remain on their old carrier.

Now we have an unopened sim pack, so just trying to figure out if Amaysim is expecting the sim pack to be activated or not?

We can activate it and then turn off auto-renew, but don't see the need or effort if we not going to use it at all… unless amaysim is expecting it to be activated for some reason!

    • Not needed. It's just required for the purchase as the phone has no relation to the plan. However, if you want to buy another phone within a month, you can activate it and not have to pay $30 for the next phone as you would be an existing customer. You can activate the sim as a spare in any old phone too. It isn't restricted to the phone you bought.

  • NW, yes I knew there was no relation of sim to phone, it was more a name link to purchase of phone/sim etc… which from further reading hits a limit at 3 device before running into problems so that's cool I'll just toss it as Amaysim don't seem to need it activated. Cheers.
