For those paying in USD this is how you get the correct exchange rate in PayPal:

AliExpress trade in USD and setting overseas websites to AUD or letting PayPal do the currency conversion may result in an inflated rate. To get the correct rate you need a card without international fees and do the following:

  • Set the website currency to USD
  • Checkout with PayPal
  • Select your card with no international fees
  • Click "See currency options"
  • Select USD to bill the card in USD instead of AUD
  • Proceed with checkout

Now you'll get the correct MasterCard or VISA exchange rate.

  • This are really great considering the price. I use mine for commuting and running (cheap enough that if sweat eventually destroys them I won't be upset) Or if I lose them meh.

ANC works but it isn't the strongest. Ambient mode is not very good. Sound to my ears anyways is perfectly acceptable.

The CMF Bud 2 Plus is on sale for a tiny bit more, I don't have them but by all account they're a decent up over this budget model.

    here: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/963594

    • Do they thump when you run with them?

      • Not at all. But I do have to turn noise cancelling off as the wind noise is quite bad.

    • The CMF Bud 2 Plus is on sale for a tiny bit more

      Cough double the price cough

    • The 2 Plus is double the price of the 2a 😭😭😭

    • @h3rbz are you able to hear cars sneaking up when you're running and you've got these in?

      • I've never specifically tested this. But I've never had any concerns with ANC off while running outside, including crossing busy streets etc.

  • See someone else wearing these in public and have an impromptu OzBargain meetup. 🦻👈👀 🍻

  • is the plus version worth the extra 20?

    • yeah i wondered that too

  • I got these down to $17.97 AUD using both coupons. Came to $21.25 before applying, then $24.xx with tax. I just bought the plus model and now these, thanks Clear!

  • Cheers ordered a 2nd pair for the missus and her Switch.

  • Has anyone been able to price match these locally?

    • Aha no chance

    • 0% chance of this working

  • I don't know the ins and outs of ali express, I guess it's just incomparable to local stores?

    • Its not a brick and Mortar store, and it's not based in Australia.

It is very much incomparable to a local store.

Maybe more comparable to the likes of Temu.

  • Shipping is slow I’ve got a few different. Nothing orders and that I ordered 2 weeks ago
    Still hasn’t left the country

So if you need them in a hurry I would skip it

    • Yeah, this has been the slowest AliExpress order I've ever done, dating back many years. They're shipping from Singapore, not China. Mine from last deal haven't left SG yet.

      • Same, I brought other stuff on the same day and it's all in country now, just awaiting my 8 oversized packages over the next few days.

  • Thanks fellow bargaineers

  • I am getting $37.23USD

    • are you entering both coupons at checkout? worked for me just now

      • yes, i put in both

      • what a moron, i figured it out. a few other items snuck in my cart. i removed them and now it works perfectly.

  • Price $23.97 after the 2 codes. Still bought it anyway.

    • Same for me

  • I try it and it shows me Total of AUD 30.59 (Inc Tax) …. How do you guys get $21.25 ?? It applied only a single store coupon of 66.11

    • Same here… I don't understand…

  • Got a pair from last deal for husband. Amazing headphones for the price! As soon as I connected them it asked to update the firmware. I ordered a pair of the pro 2 for myself waiting for delivery. I also ordered the CMF pro watch 2 for my kid. Again seems really good quality for a fraction of a flagship brand .

  • How's the low latency mode on these?

  • The coupons other than UDSEMP have run out. Current price 37.62

  • paypal check-out page showed 15.5USD (22.95AUD) but netbank transaction was 19.5USD (29.53AUD), then cancelled. be aware

  • Grey one came out to be USD 10 and approx 15 AUD.

  • Mine came to $25.37, had to use code AFFAU06 as the codes ending in 13 didn’t meet minimum spend criteria, thanks OP. Ordered.

  • Ordered a pair for 23.87$ Expect delivery by 4 July

  • Didn't need it but bought to such high upvotes for this item. Impulse buying. Thanks OP. Code worked. Paid USD 14.95/AUD 21.24.

  • ordered a pair for 13.50 usd, 19.18 aud, cba mastercard

  • I just checked the shipping for mine and it says that my “item rejected/seized”. Has this happened to anyone before from an official store on Aliexpress?

    • Similar here (except it says confiscated/destroyed). Have never had this happen before though so no idea what to do.

    • Same, applied for a refund through chatbot, approved within minutes

      • Same - waiting for it to come through

I also used $17usd of shopping credit, wondering if they will refund that too ?

  • Same for me too. Seized by customs.

    • Same!

  • Just checked mine
Seized by customs - wtf ??
    Mine says destroyed

  • Is anyone know why it is showing me like that after ordering that buds?

    Abnormal status
Package contained prohibited items that have been confiscated/destroyed

  • Mine also says destroyed by customs. Lol.

    • Refund request auto approved within 30 seconds.

  • After patient waiting I received the same message, first it said destroyed and then said it was returned to sender. Never happened before. Since this happened to many people I guess they need to find an alternative way to fulfil.

  • So a bit of googling and apparently sometimes this happens and people still get them?

Mine says it’s being returned to sender

A user said they may not have paid the taxes ?

    • Tax wouldn't be applicable since products below A$1000 is collected by the seller (AliExpress) and anything above is collected by customs and billed to the customer (you).

    • If we get them, we will be laughing, but I don't think they will allow that

I thought it looked good cause we had the AU Post stuff pinging the shipment also

  • super sus…

  • Smells fishy. Seized too.

  • What is the reality behind highlight it as a prohibited item?

  • I followed up with the store in chat and this is what they said:

“ Dear customer, we have reported this issue to the logistics provider, who is currently verifying and handling it. If you are still interested, you may place a new order.
    L”

  • So suss…..

    "Abnormal status
Package contained prohibited items that have been confiscated/destroyed
    Fri | Jun. 19 19:25"

  • And here is me thinking it was a scam email to find same thing in my tracking. Wonder if the later deals we missed out on for buds will have same issues. And they were a good price as well that I am guessing wont get again.

Package contained prohibited items that have been confiscated/destroyed

  • Yep seems like this was a scam of some sort, i got the same as above

    "Abnormal status
Package contained prohibited items that have been confiscated/destroyed
    Fri | Jun. 19 …."

    • Definitely not a scam. There's been plenty of deals from this store without issue.

Rather there's an issue with the packages, perhaps they didn't declare the lithium batteries inside (given it's likely a whole pallet), or even an overzealous customs officer thinking they're fake Airpods (happened with OnePlus). There's so many reasons we just don't know yet.

AliExpress are issuing refunds and have contacted the store to find out more. It's not in AliExpress' best interests to have this happen.

      • Yeh got the refund…. Will see if the AFP contacts us for more information 😂

        • Maybe we'll see it on border patrol. Cocaine hidden inside earphones

          • @Clear: Loll definitely possible…

  • And package refunded.

  • Had a look around today and found out that this store isn’t an official Nothing store, and they resell (like kogan)

I actually have another order with this store too on a much more expensive nothing item, and it’s lost in limbo land too, 20 days later and it still hasn’t left the country.

  • I've just received my order… Was stuck in customs since the 18th

  • For those who received their order, what courier was used? I ordered another pair, and this time aliexpress is using Aramex rather than Singapore Post.

    • Finally got my order on the 24th, seems to come from AusPost, looking at the tracking info it was processed and delivered all in ~24hrs from Melbourne Airport. Must have got stuck somewhere.

  • Received yesterday, no dramas at all, no destroyed, stuck in customs etc.

To setup, you need to long press the Setup button on case (the one besides usb-c charging port) instead of a simple press like mentioned in the book.

Dual connection needs to be activated from Nothing App.

  • This is the third pair of these I've tried to order - two of which have had the "Abnormal status: Package contained prohibited items that have been confiscated/destroyed" message.

  • I ordered these on a whim.

For the money that are insanely good.
