I've used GC Tooth Mouse (recommended by dentists) which increases mineral content to make enamel harder, for Cavity Prevention. Rather than specifically from bacteria like this toothpaste.
I asked above too, but how does the Mousse fit into a routine?
Right now I floss, scrape and then brush with a Sonicare 1100 with a fluoride toothpaste

After brushing & flossing at night, rub over teeth before sleep. Leave on teeth overnight.
This reminds me of the painkiller companies with their “period pain” and “leg pain” pills or whatever they got in trouble for. Doesn’t brushing with regular toothpaste before bed protect you overnight and defend against bacteria?

+1 for this. I get ulcers from SLS, took me ages to find that out. I have been using grants for a few years now, no issues whatsoever.
I thought my ulcers were caused by SLS and I moved to a toothpaste which I didn't realise also had SLS - and I didn't get ulcers for months. So YMMV regarding SLS.
It could also be stannous flouride which Oral-B use in their more premium products, it is more effective compared to the way more common forms of fluoride but some people do have a sensitivity to it causing similar symptoms.
If it doesn’t contain novamin (or equivalent) suggest just buying on price/fluoride/flavour preference
