  • Far out, looks cheap.

      • literally nothing to do with politics you sound obsessed 💀

          • @tenpercent: yes because a post about a coffee machine requires a comment seemingly complaining about positive changes to negative gearing

      • stay triggered by tshirts

  • James Hoffmann reviewed a very similar product about a year ago and gave it a great review, so it's hard to see how this wouldn't be an improvement on that. Video's here if you're interested: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zX6F_l_KreM&t=636s

    • It's like they heard him say "they could have cheaped out even further" and ran with it

      • They've dropped the touchscreen which I see as a huge plus, and James would be pleased!

  • Curious about this one. It means frother instead of steamer, but it does 15bar vs 9bar in even the Breville bambino plus. And that is around $500!

    • The Bambino pump does a maximum of 15 bars but at the point of extraction, it's targeting 9 bars which is what you want. It's not just a case of more is better.

    • All pumps in basic residential machines are the same 15bar pump bud. Like literally the same pump.

I pull em out of scrap pod machines etc and whack them in Magnifca's, Batista Express, Jura… whatever…

There is a spring inside the water lines to the purge tray that they aim to purge anything above 9bar.

Some stuff it up, and you get a 12bar super channeling bitter making poop maker. 8-9 bar is the magic pressure.

Just marketing… almost worked for em…

      • ‘Super channeling bitter making poop maker’ made me happy

    • You need 9bar for espresso. That's it. Everything above that is released via a valve. Higher pressure pump =/= better quality coffee.

  • Probably better off getting a delonghi stilosa

  • Could these do mochas or asking too much?

  • Believe the Stilosa is also 15 bar. Which is better?

    • See comment re 15 bar marketing above.

  • Got the Delonghi at GG last weekend for about $150 with an SMS voucher for $30 and price beat.

Looks a lot nicer than this, not sure if it's any better or worse but lots of aftermarket support and community information on that one.

Makes a decent coffee, not coffee nerd level but good enough.
