I am assuming you are talking about the Hamilton Everyday Face one? Because I also have the same issue, also not sure if it's just my bottle but they kind of smell bad too.
Yes, the face one! They are kinda smelly too. I wash the excess but it comes back and it's annoying

OP, do you have a personal favourite between Dermaveen and Hamilton (low odour/low stain)?

I use both as explained above - depending on indoor or outdoor days. Hamilton is definitely lighter but no water-resistance. Dermaveen is still nice and comfortable though not quite as light.

My bottle has an annoying flaw that the product is leaking around the push top.
