No one is ‘ramming’ anything down your throat. It’s a brief acknowledgment that this land has a history before colonisation. If basic respect for that feels like an imposition, that says more about the discomfort you’re carrying than the practice itself.

If you want to attend a Welcome to Country - you are more than free to attend one.
It is getting one when what you actually want is a footy game, or a public meeting, or the opening of an envelope, that is the issue.
It does absolutely nothing for indigenous people, or non-indigenous people, and pretending it is nothing but acknowledging that people lived here before colonisation makes as much sense as having a ceremony to celebrate that the sky is blue.- -2

I got the Wilson Spotlight for $9, it's the closest feel & weight you'll get to the Wilson Evo NXT ($150 premium ball) it just lacks a little in bounce so you'll need to pump it with more air to get the same responsive bounce as an official indoor game ball, but for $9 I'm not complaining one bit, feels great in the hands I can shoot consistent 3's (got 10 in a row)
