You can download uTag from github to make it work better on non Samsung devices. Didn't work with apple unless you use browser. UWB finding only for Samsung or if uTag works
Presumably only samsung devices will report and track the tags, even if there's a third party app to view their location.

Moto tag 2 when
I bought the Moto Tag 1 from Harvey's the other week for $69 as well. I probably should have waited but wanted to see how they compare to the Samsung's (which actually broke really quickly on me for some reason).
Haven't tested them yet but will soon. When Moto 2 comes out I might replace out the Moto 1s as they die.
I have both the Smart Tag2 and the Moto Tag1. The Smart Tag2 is better as more people report where it is. It also is better for locating its location as opposed to the moto tag.
However I have swapped from a Samsung phone and now rely on the Moto Tag to track the cat. Accuracy aint great.
That's disappointing to hear. I will try to fish out the one Samsung tag I have left working and stick them both in a bag for some testing.

These are great and are allowed in checked-in luggage. Nice backup if they ever 'lose' your luggage but you can see it's with you at the destination airport 😅

Fairly easy to setup on non Samsung Android. Trick to adding new tags is to clear the cache on smart things and try again. Obviously utag is needed for the modded smart things app
