CamelCamelAnywhere - Track ANY Price

I'm not sure if anyone will find this of use but no cost, certainly no tracking from my end.

I created a site "CamelCamelAnywere" which basically acts like a CCC that tracks and alerts on any URL price. So will work for things you are after at Woolworths, Coles, Ikea etc. Obviously won't go past a login wall such as Costco for some items.

Some sites (e.g. BBQ Galore) required manual tweaking and a custom script to read the correct price so if a site is giving an incorrect price report and I'll sort.

CamelCamelAnywhere

Note cca.ze.au also works as I got sick of typing the longer URL.

UPDATE 6/7/26
* You no longer need an email address to use the system. Obviously you won't get alerts.
* Price graphing now included
* Still having issues with cloudflare blocking but have a method that I'll implement soon that should solve.

  • why do I need to log in?

    • How else will they harvest your data?

      • I'm not harvesting anything lol. The login is simply so you see your items and not everyone elses.

        • Didn’t neg you but I don’t see how your response makes sense

I use 3camels just fine without having to log in 🤷‍♂️

          • @parsimonious one: To clarify it needs your email address to send you alerts. The "login" is simply a 6 character code so it knows you are who you say you are. And enables you to manage your watchlist.

CCC allows you to set a watch without login. But to manage you still need to login. On my CCC I have a username and pw - don't you?

          • @parsimonious one: Just further, I'm still in 2 minds about the CCC approach. I could duplicate it - so you can add a price watch without a login but I see an issue in that other people could also put price watches in your account. And like CCC you'd need to login to delete/manage etc. Although CCC does have a "delete price watch" in the email they send you.

I'm sure I could do it this way. Depends on what people want.

You could have a login to enable editing the watchlist without an email address. Choose a username and choose a password. If you want to receive email notifications, obviously you will have to add your email too. Let users choose to make the watchlist viewable without logging in.

            • @tonydav: Hi OP

I think the option to use the site without having to provide an email is useful

Personally I don’t log in to CCC, I just use it to check the price history when I’m considering a particular item

              • @parsimonious one: New update - You no longer need an email address to use the system. Obviously you won't get alerts.

              • @parsimonious one: I follow. But CCA doesn't do price history (as yet).

I'll be honest I only ever considered this for price alerts. Without history and an alert what's the real benefit of it (so not putting in an email address)?

  • Thanks so much! This will really come in handy.

    • AI isn't sentient lol.

      • Huh?

Don't like the site don't use it. Not hard champ.

        • Why are you replying to me?

          • @sidesw1pe: I replied to the original poster and then he unpublished his comment so for some reason came as a reply to you. My apologies.

  • So it actively polls prices from different stores and keeps a record of it?

    • It's not like CCC that has a graph but once something is tracked it does keep a record. It's more an alerts engine.

    • And also just saw you'd said "different stores". No it's pretty simple. Just put the URL in and the target price and it will alert you if it drops to that. So you would need multiple alerts if you want to track at different stores. Eg. I have 2 alerts for Shin Black at both Coles and Woolworths.

      • That seems like an oversight.

        • It's more a case what I'm aiming at. There are a ton of "grocery compare" apps/sites. E.g. Bangeroo was just released for free to Ozb members this week that does exactly this.

What none of them did (that I could find) was track any site price. I actually started this to track prices at Ikea.

Potentially the tracking across multiple sites is something I could investigate but not at the moment as too much "paying development" to do lol.

      • It would be incredibly useful if the site could automagically identify the same product at other stores too and keep a track of all of them to give alerts.

  • HTTP fetch failed: 403 Client Error: Forbidden for url

The url was a product at Big W.

    • It's being blocked by cloudflare. I'll modify to work around it. Probs tomorrow when I have time.

This is also the issue with EB Games. And I'm guessing a heap of other sites that I haven't personally tracked an item on.

      • Is it fetching from my browser or on your end? I also get an error just trying to load Big W pages depending which VPN server I am using at the time.

        • No the backend does the search and monitors every hour from memory. Then sends an email when the target price is hit.

          • @tonydav: Just tried another one. This time Milkrun. Similar error.

HTTP fetch failed: 404 Client Error: Not Found for url:

            • @tenpercent: There's something wrong with that URL. I also get a 404 when I click it.

              • @tonydav: Weirdly, the Big W url didn't load for me (VPN causing me to get blocked). But the Milkrun url does load in my browser.

                • @tenpercent: Milkrun works. I fixed the URL and it's tracking. Probably not the exact URL I just put an RSPCA chicken item in it to test.

    • Big W, EB Games and the others blocked by Cloudflare now fixed. No errors there I can see now.

  • So do we get notifications to our emails for this? Or need to check site regularly?

    • It will send you an email.

  • Nice idea - I added some items I'm tracking - a few failed which you might see. And some o thers definitely pulling wrong price but better than nothing/my current process of periodically manually checking

    • There were some being blocked by cloudflare which I've fixed. If the price is wrong please send me the URL via the help button. Some sites are a pain to sort (looking at you Ikea!).

  • why do i need my email

    • I would have thought that was obvious, but it's very hard to send an alert to your email that the price has reached your target point if the system doesn't have your email. Feel free not to include your email and work out some other way.

  • UPDATE 6/7/26
    * You no longer need an email address to use the system. Obviously you won't get alerts.
    * Price graphing now included
    * Still having issues with cloudflare blocking but have a method that I'll implement soon that should solve.

  • UPDATE 24/9/26:
    * Fixed issues with Kmart, JBHifi and some others using cloudflare to block agent price checks
    * Added option to "alert when back in stock"
    - haven't tested this thoroughly as need something that is regularly in/out of stock
    * Some bug fixes re filters etc

    • Can it do any site? And if I am only interested in finding out if something is back in stock will it alert me? Or only if the price changes?

      • In therory (as it's been hard to test) it should send you an alert if it comes back into stock at any price. Still finetuning this. I have some alerts but none have come back into stock yet.

      • I just had an OOS back in stock alert. In this situation it was selling at 8.50 and I had the price alert at $20. In theory if I had the price alert at say $6.00 it should still alert but I'll have to test further.

TBH I need to think through the logic of how I want this to work. Like if I did have it at $6 and came back in stock at $8.50 should I get an alert?

        • Can you set multiple alerts for the one item? So for back in stock you would set some ludicrously high number so that whatever price it comes back in stock at triggers the alert. Then you could set a 'would consider' price target and a 'drop everything nab this bargain while you still can' price?

          • @tenpercent: Thinking it through this is my logic flow:
            1. Price target - will alert if that is triggered and in stock
            2. OOS alert (OOS box ticked) - will alert if it comes into stock at any price

The new logic shouldn't alert if it has a target price but is out of stock

  • UPDATE 29/9/26:

People asked me earlier about tracking prices across multiple sites. It would be nice for this to be automated (maybe down the track if I get interest) but as of now you can add multiple links onto the one item.

So in my case I monitor both Colesworth for Shin Black and if either drops to my target I get an email.

  • Some sites (e.g. BBQ Galore) required manual tweaking and a custom script to read the correct price

    Wasted effort.

    • It definitely wasn't for me. I wanted the Ziggy Elite hotplate and when it dropped to half price I was able to get it.

      • But was it cheaper elsewhere? BBQs Galore is going out of business because they're not competitive.

        • I think Barbecues Galore have a fair percentage ownership in Ziggy, hence you can't buy the products anywhere else.

      • I know, kind of sad anytime an Aus company (bought out by a US company) folds. TBH never really shopped there until I bought the Ziggy Elite.
