  • There're still two working promotions for 30 days free Apple TV+ subscriptions.

  • Looking at these this afternoon Signed up for Lionsgate (have had it before) and MGM. Most of the rest I have

    • It’s not Pokémon, you don’t need to catch them all lol

    • consooooom

    • I just paid full price for lions gate the other week, upright was great if you're looking for something Aussie

      • I'll second the recommendation for Upright, it's outstanding, and beautifully captures the Aussie landscapes.
At this price it's totally worth subscribing just for that one show.

  • i pay 3 dollars a month for all of these

    • How?

      • Piracy, basically. Not that I'm judging, but no "unofficial" solution is without its struggles. If the occasional downtime or hiccup isn't a dealbreaker for you, there are options like Stremio or one of its alternatives, but I wouldn't go setting it up for my elderly mother without expecting to throw in free on-call tech support.

        • Ah, the $3 threw me off, last time I checked Piracy was free. Admittedly, I haven't sailed the high seas for almost a decade now. I guess with inflation, even piracy have a price now.

          • @Oztx: VPN is likely the reference.

          • @Oztx: It's still free. Just paying for the convenience factors ontop of it for how you choose to access it.

        • Ah, now I understand what the $3 is for, cheers

  • Isn’t $7.99 a month the normal price for AppleTV?

Edit: ah never mind, 7.99 is the regular USD price. Sorry!

  • Geez. Or just get stremio and move on with your life! Can't imagine having all these subs

    • I understand the neg votes, but this hippy has a point. Stremio with debrid or something similar has everything, from all sources, in the one app. It's not perfect but neither is my foreskin.

      • A brick can make it longer.

      • If I get this Stremio, can I have it on my googleTV/chromecast thing to access everything?

  • Not as good as last year

  • No HBO Max?

    • Standard is $10.99/M for 6 months, same deal as just signing up directly.

  • Great Courses is good if you enjoy educational stuff.

  • Cheap britbox - lots of dr who and Blake’s seven

  • Which of these are ads or no ads?

    • The basic Amazon Prime comes with ads.

      • doesn't apply for subs through Primevideo, or rentals. only to movies that are Free on Prime.

    • all subs through Primevideo have no ads.

I claim 1 week free trial for multiple of these every year. so I know.

  • Signed up for MGM+ and Lionsgate+ as it's $3 pm, tempted by britbox or maybe apple tv, but should use the trials for those first.

  • Thanks OP

  • Anyone still handing over money to Paramount is supporting not just the genocide of the Palestinians but the complete capitulation of broadcast news (both CBS and soon CNN) in the USA to Zionist billionaires. If you haven't heard of this by now you must be living under a rock. The best thing to do now is to make this stuff unprofitable by never paying for it

    • They own everything directly or indirectly anyways, media, food, 98% of US politicians on both sides, banking, social media …. I don't support them in the slightest but in this world it's very hard to not be indirectly supporting them and live a normal life… Even the Romans knew the problems they create ….

      • Of all the companies that ‘rule the world’ you picked… Paramount?

Like, yeah, they’re big. But… Not that big.

          • @Belv: So instead of being specific, you decided to be intentionally obtuse and rant about an unspecified entity that has absolutely no relation to what the initial comment was saying?

            What’s… wrong… with you?

              • @Belv: It’s a tad early to be this fired up about an OzBargain commenter, mate. Clarify or move on. Simple as.

        • Larry Ellison is the world's 7th richest person, and is the largest single personal donor to the IDF. Since October 7 2023, Ellison has purchased The Free Press, a blog read by bugger all people but didn't stop him paying a reported 150M USD for it simply because the person who owns it is a one eyed Zionist. He's also purchased Paramount, which came with CBS News, and made the aforementioned Zionist their editor in chief, he is in the process of purchasing Warner Bros, which comes with CNN, and it's been made clear the same editor in chief will be in charge of both. On top of that they have purchased a controlling stake in tiktok and made and ex-IDF intelligence officer their head of censorship.

          So yeah, it's that big

          • @Jackson: Appreciate the information.

Not sure why the whinger who initially replied to you found that so difficult.

A word of advice. Nobody wins in war. Stop supporting it.

            • @dongltron: It doesn't surprise me that people don't know this stuff, because the mainstream news ignores it due to the immense pressure they are put under by organised campaigns to bully them into not mentioning anything about Israeli interference or Zionist campaigns to own critical media. All these purchases happened on the back of the Israeli PMs tours of the US to drum up support for buying out as much media as possible so they can control the narrative that's been getting away from them (it's documented on video)

I am completely anti war, don't know why you would think I support it? The fact is that for 78 years the party that's had control of this situation is the Israelis, but due to a number of tactics, including the aforementioned media ownership, the narrative in western countries has been to both sides the issue, when it's absolutely one slided, one side has all the power, one side completely ignores their obligations under international law, and one side supported Hamas getting elected and paid them money in suitcases directly because they wanted to divide the other sides political unity. And yes, that side is Israel.

              • @Jackson: Eh. Still seems a bit conspiracy theory to me. I’ll pass, but thanks anyway.

                • @dongltron: You can be informed and know or you can be uninformed and not find out, it's your choice

            • @dongltron: "Nobody wins in war." A meaningless platitude to be told between people who've never really lost in recent memory.

          • @Jackson: He sounds like a legend

      • I have been boycotting and I am doing without a lot of the stuff that I used to buy, but in most cases it's pretty easy to switch brands. Ont he case of Paramount, just use Stremio, it's easy as, there's guides on how to set it up.

      • Yeh both sides of parliament giving Netanyahu and standing ovation for 30 mins. During the local elections when asked where the first country they will travel to they all say Israel….. Tell me about our shared values.. flattening apartment complexes because a Hamas member walked in. Spitting and punching Catholic nuns. IDF soldiers caught on Israeli tv raping Hamas members in jails. Charges dropped . Burning farmland and disconnecting water. Sniping children throwong rocks. Hopefully some Africans turn up to your house one day. Kick your grandparents out. Shoot your father for fighting back, all because they believe they are God's chosen people and that property belongs to them becides your family living their for 400 years. Then when you want it back your labelled a terrorist…. wake up silly couch sitter. They see us as goyam. Pretty much inferior and comparable to an animal ….. Keep supporting that. And you actually think your comment was smart hahahah

        • Okay but i hear for cheap stuff not to solve middle east conflict

    • Awesome deal. Subscribed!

  • Stremio

  • Strange, how is Amazon Prime has anything to do with Apple TV, who are both competitors?

    • Amazon is a general marketplace product at its core. In fact, a big part of Amazon’s entire approach from the start has been ‘Get on our platform, we’ll advertise your stuff. We take a cut, but you DO make sales.’ Exactly how it worked when Bezos had started it as an online bookstore. He invited competitors to sell their books on Amazon, and Amazon benefitted from it.

At the end of the day, Prime Video is more of a side project to Amazon. Selling subscriptions to other services benefits both platforms inevitably. Selling a product on the biggest online marketplace in the western hemisphere is as much of a no-brainer (in many, but not all cases) as it is to sell your new indie game on Steam. It just makes sense from a business perspective.

    • Probably the same reason the Apple TV app shows you what's available on Prime Video.

    • How about ACCC and premium for Prime Video?

  • Do you need an Amazon account to take up these offers ?

I have a friend interested in the Britbox offer but she doesn’t have Amazon.

    • Yes. It is viewed through Amazon prime video. Not sure if it needs an active amazon subscription.

  • I cancelled my Paramount+ last week, it runs until the end of the month.

Is there a way I can get this offer added to the end of my subscription?

  • Or infuse. 😆

  • Can't see the offer expiry date. I'm going to sub to a few and want to stagger the 2 month finish dates.

    • The offer ends July 13.

  • Thanks. Got a crunchy sub @ $5.99/m for 2 months.
