  To get traction here you would have to compete with Limeblue, Arjo etc. One of them also has a sob story to go with their roasts; so there is that also. :)

    To be fair, looks to be $33 per kg plus shipping, so not bad, though they should really put the price in title, as starbearer says.

      If the price is right go for it. Coffee is all the same. Grown in a (temperate) country where most of these sellers have never set foot in; by farmers that none of us will ever meet or know. These sellers have never felt the soil that the coffee grows in. But they pretend to be some sort of heros.

      These guys just buy the green beans on the global market (could be from anywhere) and roast it; presumbly… :)

        Thanks for your comment. We just wanted to correct a few assumptions, as they don't reflect how we operate.

        Our owners and head roasters have personally travelled to many of the countries our coffee is sourced from, spending time with producers, visiting farms and developing long term relationships with the people behind the coffee. We place a huge emphasis on ethical, farm to cup sourcing and work hard to maintain direct, transparent relationships wherever possible.

        Beyond sourcing coffee, our owners have also spent time giving back to these communities and those surrounding through charitable work, including helping to feed malnourished children and contributing to school building projects. That's something we're incredibly proud of and committed to continuing.

        With more than 15 years in the specialty coffee industry, we believe great coffee starts long before it reaches the roaster. It starts with respecting the farmers, supporting sustainable practices and ensuring quality at every step of the journey. We wouldn't sleep well at night if this wasn't a priority for us, and you would taste the difference too.

        Everyone is entitled to their opinion on coffee, but we felt it was important to clarify that your description may be fair to some roasters, but not us.

        Coffee is far from all the same. Your point about sourcing green beans is well made, but even if you get the same bean from the same grower, give it to three different roasters and you're going to get different results in the cup (unless they happen to use the same roasting profiles).

        If you just want a caffeine delivery system, sure, but at that point just rail No-Doz or International Roast and be done with it.
