  • The IKEA sales just keep coming. 10% off furniture in June. 15% of METOD kitchens until tonight. 15% of PAX from Thursday. Couple with discounted gift cards for even better discounts

    • Where do you usually get discounted IKEA gift cards? Best I've found is 4% with BUPA rewards.

  • Hoping for a couch sale

  • I consider myself prettt handy but i severely underestimated the amount of work needed to put together 4x PAX wardrobes with drawers and sliding doors etc. I cant recall the exact time but it was a solid chunk of time, possibly 8 hours or so.

Great units though, very sturdy. Just dont go in expecting them to be the usual 20 minute ikea affair!

  • how often does this happen?

  • Naturally - I just purchased and installed last weekend 2x 100cm PAX frames along with associated doors and drawers.

A true OzBargainer would of course dismantle the lot, return it for a refund, buy it all again and re-install.
I'll hand in my OzB membership card now because I'm not doing all that :-)

    • No, a true OzBargainer would buy the exact same setup, do click and collect, then take them right back to the counter and return on your old receipt

    • Reach out to their customer service number - I think if it’s within a certain timeframe of the promotion starting, they’ll refund the difference

      • Ikea USA seems to have a specific policy of 14 days where you can get the difference refunded if the item goes on sale.
Aus doesn't seem to have this specificity, but there are plenty of reports online where they offer something within 7-14 days.
I'll give it a try. Thank you :-)

      • Went into the store today (had to return an item that was the wrong colour).

I asked about the current sale on PAX et el and they gave me a refund on the difference of all my PAX products as they were bought within 7 days of the sale starting.
It doesn't seem like an "official" rule, but there was no checking with management or anything like that - it seems like it is a standard thing that they apply if asked.

They gave store credit rather than an actual refund, but that was fine with me as I was planning to purchase more stuff anyway.

        $200 back - happy days :-)

  • Do pax ever get a bigger discount than this? I have a fair amount of pax I want to buy but no particular time frame I need to buy it in.
