      The short answer is no.

      The long answer is…

      Ultimate gift cards are prepaid Visa gift cards that only work at the participating retailers listed on the Ultimate gift card website. For example, Ultimate Everyone gift cards can only be used at the participating retailers listed on the Ultimate Everyone page on the Ultimate gift card website. Amazon does not participate in the Ultimate gift card program, so I would expect Ultimate gift cards to not work on the Amazon website.1

Visa cards can be set up to only work at specific EFTPOS terminals or specific online payment gateways, so the company behind Ultimate gift cards has worked alongside each participating retailer accepting Ultimate gift cards in-store and/or online to ensure their gift cards only work at specific terminals and gateways. ↩

      I personally prefer 8% with $500 denomination available, rather than 10% with $50 denomination. Plus less risk of card tampering when bought online.

          I would not say "zero risk".

          I bought a digital Ultimate gift card from Giftz in 2022, but I then got an email from Blackhawk Network saying my gift card was re-issued. This person bought a gift card through the same Giftz deal and had fraudulent transactions appear on their gift card. Apparently, there was a security breach somewhere on Blackhawk Network's end that caused someone to obtain details of some gift cards.

          Then there is the fact that there are intermittent reports of some other digital gift cards being fraudulently used (including a report I got from someone a while ago about their digital Restaurant Choice gift card bought from ShopBack being fraudulently used at a restaurant on the other side of Australia).

            @WookieMonster: I agree, and for this same reason I have not touched any gift cards purchased online for a while.

            The only ones I really trusted were the Woolworths ones where Macquarie Bank generates them on the fly. Everything else I don't really have much confidence about its integrity.
