      Serious answer - the plastic on the white one yellowed on one side for me. Rest of the mouse is sparkling white.
      Interestingly was the entire plastic bit, so seems to have been a defect rather than grubby hands.

      Highly recommended the lithium AA for this. You drop some weight and they last forever. You can do the plastic casing to a triple a mod to reduce weight further but I find that unnecessary personally, and you get less battery life.

      I've got 2 g305s and been using for like 3? Years on the first one and have only gone through 1 lithium so far.

      It also does come with a double A anyway.

        I just rolled some aluminum foil into a ball and it bridges the space for a AAA battery to fit.

      What's the deal with these perks vouchers, is everyone just creating new accounts under different emails? Won't they know it's the same person with the same details i.e. phone number (I assume you need this for 2fa), address etc.

        Yes and no I think.
        Yes, I did create new email addresses for each phone number I acquired (mostly through the cashreward Boost deal back in the day). But after knowing the gmail dot trick, fewer.
        Second, not too sure. I usually place orders in the CBD or inner suburbs which tend to be a bit busier.

    Works with Windows and Mac.

    I mean, I think I get low battery warnings out of the box on various Linux distros. I don't use any of the community made key rebinding software while there so I can't really speak to their quality.

    I do however see G Hub stumble sometimes in regards to missing focus changes in Windows though, or requiring a client restart.

    The back cover on mine rattles a little though after a few years.

    I also have to blow on the scroll encoder like a SNES cartridge sometimes as well…

    Sensor and receiver works great though.

    Had one of these for 5 years now, mostly used as a travel and work mouse with occasional gaming. Never missed a bit and the battery lasts for ages.

    Mine has just started to get a phantom scroll wheel issue. Scroll down, it will go up first a little. Not good when trying to use the wheel to go through Youtube Shorts etc.
    Frustrating. Worked to clean the wheel but not fixing it.
    Lasted me 3 years, maybe just get a new one at this price.

    Really solid mouse. I’ve been using one with my laptop for 4 years with no issues. It’s mainly used for work, but I occasionally use it for gaming as well.

    Meanwhile my G Pro started having double-click issues after about a year. Logitech sent me a G502 Lightspeed as a replacement, but that one started having the same issue again after another year.

    Maybe the lighter usage helps, but the G305 has been surprisingly reliable.

    Great mouse great price. I had one for around 5 years before it started having some click issues. At this price replacement would be a no brainer.

    But there was no sale when I needed one, so I got an MChose G3 for around this price. Also great. Same body as the g305, but lighter and with a rechargeable battery. Recommend for anyone who has liked this mouse in the past but is on the fence about getting another one

    Great mouse -been rocking mine for 6 years with no issues. I bought a spare from MobileCiti when they had a sale so definitely get this cheaper if you're not in a rush for a mouse.

    Aliexpress usually have this for about $15-$25 with free postage

      the aliexpress ones are flatout replicas/fakes. Most of them even say in their descriptions that the logitech software won't recognise them - so no rebinding or changing dpi etc. comments on aliexpress as well as reddit would indicate that the sensor and overall build quality differs significantly too, but you could argue that's not objective fact.

      given that you can buy a chinese branded mouse on aliexpress for $15 to $30, and the genuine logitech one for $40, i fail to see why anyone would consider buying a fake logitech (or risk buying a fake logitech). do your research on chinese brands - they've come a long way. they're pretty damn good.

    Amazing mouse. Had it since 2020. I have two minor nitpicks as a PSA.

    • No Logitech software on Linux. So you'll have to use a windows system if u need to adjust the mouse.
    • Uses AA batteries. So if you use this for FPS games, it'll feel noticeably heavier towards the back. You can pop in some AAA lithium batteries to alleviate this. Honestly for this use case I'd recommend another mouse.

    Bought one of these and it's not the greatest feel, prefer the bigger G703 still but it's sadly not replaceable battery.

    I've got a fair few years use out of it but likely need to replace it soon as battery barely lasts a day.
