Yeah I ended up finding 2 alternatives but they're all out of production. Its really tough, reading reviews everyones saying its build quality is really lackluster but because there are no alternatives it makes do.
Common problems include input not received for the trackpack / mouse buttons and kb going to sleep - distances not working longer than 1.5m.
This ranges from 8 years ago to couple months ago. Sad that.
I just found this one to give it a go. Only 2 colors but it's BT & WiFi as well as being rechargeable.

The Logitech's are great. But something backlit would be soooo much easier in a dark room on the HTPC.
