Beating the previous ATL of $889. All-in-one option for a clean, wall-mounted deployment instead of a traditional IT rack. Biggest complaints are;
1) the lack of SSD / drive bay for Protect (only a microSD onboard)
2) lack of modularity

My understanding is that Unifi now allows users to backup Protect footage to cloud storage or a NAS so complaint 1 may be less of an issue to some.

Could be a good value proposition / alternative for some who were considering the UDR7 + PoE Switch (as I was)

Full disclosure, I brought one for $889 and am very happy with the purchase, but disappointed I didn't get it at this price..

  I recently upgraded my home networking stuff and I went for UCG-Fiber paired with U7 Lite for roughly $650 total. Already had a cheap POE switch (LS1210GP)($58) which has a 1Gbps SFP port so I got a DAC cable ($35) connecting UCG-Fiber to the switch so I didn't lose any 2.5Gbps ports. Paid $45 for M.2 tray and already had 500GB Nvme (WD Red SN700 500GB NVMe $140 purchased 2022) and installed it on the UCG-Fiber. (UCG-Max with storage pre-installed is the same price as UCG-Fiber without storage)

  I can see the value in getting an all-in-one unit installed in garage and be done scenario but $795 price tag doesn't justify it for me. It is still high.

  instant buy at 700 or lower for 90% of households I think.

  sfp port for when NBN hits 2g, and then just add on as many u7 access points as you need.

  a udr7 + Poe switch will run you about 550 (assuming you get the udr for 470), or closer to 600 if you get a unifi switch.

  for 100 more you the inbuilt NVR for 1-3 camera tops (need NVR otherwise)…

  Buyer beware on these, I got one delivered last week and it was clearly used. Box wasn’t even taped shut, surface rust one the aluminium side and marks on the front. Sold as new, so not sure I’d trust any of these units.
