  • HODL… it will go down further 🫣

  • Paid $600 3 weeks ago. Tragic.

    • Same here :(

    • Price aside, what are your thoughts on it? Recommend it?

      • I have nothing to compare it to, but no issues with it so far. Definitely worth it to me. Only issue has been that it tries to eat the cords so you have to make sure you keep them off the floor or make the area a no-go zone in the app.

Can't imagine there is better value for ~$400

      • I bought this 16 may for $598 and think it’s worth the money. Definitely worth it for $410, does a good job. It copes with 3 long haired females a dog (short haired), but we are fully hard floor no carpet. So convenient! I run it twice a week, I just have to pick up the toys and saves me 20 minutes vacuuming and mopping the house.

Does a decent job. No issues with mapping either.

        • Does it get confused with glass sliding doors? Like it thinks it can get through it because of the glass but it can't so it gets stuck for awhile trying?

          • @bogak: We have large glass windows from floor to almost ceiling and they did try to map through the glass and identified it as a room, but didn’t get stuck at all. Just kept moving along the perimeter of the area to map it out.

However one time I forgot to close the balcony door and it went out and vacuumed the deck lol! I set the ‘virtual wall’ in the map and hasn’t happened since.

    • Pretty sure $200 is worth ordering another one and returning the new unit on the old order.

    • I posted in the other post about this.
I started a chat with Amazon and they told me to refund and repurchase. No questions asked if you want to give it a go!

      • Damn that's wild, just did the same without issue. Wish I didn't throw out the original box, now I need to go to Bunnings haha.

        Thanks mate!

        • Just wait for the new one to arrive then reuse the boxes!

          • @cowboydev: Unironically 'My goodness, what an idea. Why didn't I think of that?'

    • How is it tho

  • An this guy climb up onto rugs 2-3cm height?

  • Anyone running valetudo on these?

  • These or the ECOVACS DEEBOT T30S Pro ?

    • I'm currently in the same boat comparing 4 vacs on sale today around the same price point.

      • Dreame L10s Ultra Gen 2 ($409.99)

      • Dreame L40s Ultra CE ($499.99)

      • Roborock Qrevo L ($449)

      • Ecovacs Deebot T30 Pro ($449)

The more in-depth I compare, the harder it is to pull the trigger.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

      • Same as u idk what to choose

        • Does anyone have experience with these models that would help me make the decision?

      • I spent a full week comparing before going with Dream l40 Ultra CE. Bought it last week at $648 just to return and buy it again today at $499

Dreame is more reliable than Ecovacs and has more features than Roborock at this range
Go with L10s if you want better edge cleaning (extend mop)
Go with L40 if you want better hair handling (tricut brush included), stronger suction power

        Both are excellent choice

        • Thanks for your reply.

We've had the Ecovacs Deebot Neo from Aldi for a couple of years. Was around the $400 mark and has been ok.

I'm expecting all of these are a decent step up from that

      • Link for Dreame L40s Ultra CE please

      • Was a no brainer for me to get the cheapest option as I am upgrading from a flogged out Dreame D10+ that still works from 2022. No issues at all so I’m sticking with the brand.

  • This compared with X40 ultra?

    • Same question, x40 ultra at $749 with better battery and better avoid features? I am on the fence to choose which one

  • If it impacts anyone, delivery is now 1 week rather than next day

  • Should I get this or a roborock qrevo pro c (Kogan have a refurbished one for $679) - just because reviews say roborock is better and the pro c's hair removal is too good.

  • Crazy to think I paid $663 on a deal for the D10+ in 2022 and now this is the kind of robo vac you can get for $400.

  • Does this have the auto dispensing cleaning solution module or do you need to buy for extra like on the L40s CE?

  • I've had an Ecoovacs for 6 years and I hate the mobile app with a passion.

Is the Dreame app better or should I go with a Qrevo?

    • I believe the Dreame is better but the Roborock is better still.

  • I bought this for the $600 price a couple of months ago and bloody love it. Got one for my mum at this price which is kinda ridiculous compared to the original RRP.

  • Finally pulled the trigger on this after going back and forwards on all the different robo vacs around this price point. Think getting hot water mopping/mop cleaning would have been good - but not worth the extra step up.

  • Can anyone confirm if you can physically block the camera on this without much issue with the obstacle avoidance. I believe the Gen2 has Infrared camera + Infrared sensors in addition to the LiDAR.

Are LiDAR + Infrared sensors enough for satisfactory performance?

    • Dreame called thesed 3D structured light sensor they used it for obstacle avoidance it is not a camera.
Not sure why you want to block the sensor, then you better just buy a dump robot vacuum. These sensor can't record video or your house if you are worrying about privacy issue.

      • Well from what I could find online, it DOES have an infrared camera (black & white) in addition to laser and IR sensors. I however does not have a user viewable camera like previous gen which had an RGB camera.

I do not want to block the sensor, just the IR camera. I prefer not having a camera (of any kind) roaming around the house.

  • Thanks op its my 1st robovac so giving it a go.
    1 week delivery though :(

  • I just ordered and forgot to put in the free cleaning solution. Does anyone know where it’s written that it comes with free solution? I’m wondering if I can still get it if I chat with Amazon.

    • I can't see it on the listing anymore, however I put both in the cart and went to checkout and it does give it for free (removes $22.60 from cart which is the cost of cleanign solution). You could screenshot that and show them.

      • Thanks for the tip.

  • Promo code DMPDHAPPY brings the price down to $389.49

    • It works, did you want to post it as a new deal? Where was that code from?

      • Done, was just on Instagram and saw an ad with the code.

    • Is Promo code only for this model or other models also?
