Anyone unable to get network connection right now on boost or telstra? I'm on an iphone air and restarted etc. Just trying to figure out if it is the network or my phone. Telstra outage lookup is also not working so that's awesome.

Yeah I don't get it, I've been using Felix for like 5 years now and travel all over SA Vic and NSW and get 5G in most places and 4G in most rural areas, very few times have I lost service before, even use it as a hotspot most of the time no issues here at all UNLIMITED data

no way in SA, felix is dogpoop and barely ever get 5g on a 15pm. often struggle to get any service at home or jobsites in residential areas

I think it comes down to the frequency of outtages. Vodafone and Optus have had more recetly. That's about it

Confirmed outage via AFR.
Interestingly, another family member (exact same Telstra plan and location) is working perfectly fine yet my phone has no data or SMS/call access. Appears to affecting a random set of users (as not everyone is affected per the AFR article).

A Telstra spokesperson says that the company is looking into an issue affecting mobile calls and data connections.
“If you’re having trouble connecting, try again as it may work on a retry,” Telstra said.
“We’re on it and will share an update as soon as it’s fixed. Thanks for sticking with us.”
According to user-generated reports of the outage, it appeared to be affecting customers in every state and territory. By 6.30 am (AEST), at least 6000 people had reported an outage to Downdetector

It's speculation of course, but sounds like Telstra rolled out an update in the early hours of the morning and killed their network. Its happened before with Optus, and no doubt Vodafone too.

Boost works fine in Brisbane. I had the same issue a few days ago, and resetting my network settings fixed it.
If you have a Samsung device, try resetting your mobile network settings under Settings -> General Management -> Reset -> Reset mobile network settings.

It probably affects 4g network, on Telstra and switched to a phone supports 5g and it’s working again. Hope this helps anyone.

I found I had reception fine but couldn't make or receive phone calls, straight to Voicemail but data is working. I was able to call my wife via FaceTime audio. I drove from Warragul to Traralgon and had no problems. Just couldn't make phone or receive phone calls.
