[eBay Plus] Dyson Vacuum Cleaner: Cyclone V10 $459, [Box Damaged] V10 Konical $469 Delivered @ Dyson eBay

440
PLJULY

Possibly ATL for both. Double stack Dyson $30 and eBay discount $10 (V10) or $50 (V10 Konical).
If you want to be clever, find a $31 item to add to the V10 to get the $50 instead of $10 discount ;-) You'd end up with a $19 discount and getting a $31 item for free.

  • Add a $1 eligible item you should get $50 off $500

    • Yep, was typing it the same time as you commented. However, I tested and found that eBay calculates the total after the factory discount. Thanks for noticing though :-)

    • any suggestions for a $1 eligible item?

      • I tested and found that eBay calculates the total after the factory discount. So you'd need to buy a $31 item to reach $500.

        • Even better if works that way

  • Not sure why anyone would go for the V10 Cyclone while the V8 Cyclone and V10 Konical are at these prices.

Really need to separate the older product listings on OzB from the new ones.

EDIT: which a mod has done, cheers

  • Anyone got any insight into the Konical vs regular V10?

At a glance seems like Konical is simply better?

  • What do I need to do to get the extra discount? Added to $31 worth chart and nothing

    • Be even more clever, ditch the item and get the Konical.

The code is the same, and requires eBay Plus.

  • Any suggestions on when to upgrade from a v8 to the Konical? Been around 5 years now. Does the job but charges last less and attachments are worn out. Could buy replacements though. Would this be a significant upgrade?

  • Don't believe what you read the last time I purchased a damaged box from Dyson eBay the box was so brand new I kept the box as souvenir.

  • Yup. Just ignore the box damaged bit! Dyson just doing a dodgy not to cheese off its retailers.

  • V10 has 150 Air Watts which is same as the V8 Cyclone for $309. In a vacuum, isn't the sucking power the only thing that matters?

    • That's what I figured so I got this for $199 (also 150AW) https://amzn.asia/d/06Vn6h3o
      Will see how it goes

      • Yea but only Dyson has that trademark cyclonic filtration system so the filter needs less cleaning less often. But yea, that one you linked looks solid for the price.

      • Nice. It's just a shame that Dreame have stopped designing true wall mounts. Now it's just a flimsy friction mount (that I reckon will stop working after 6 months) and you have to manually plug/unplug the vaccum head every time you take it on or off the wall! That was enough to make me choose another brand.

      • Thanks. I cancelled my V10 Konica purchase because I don't think it's worth double the price indeed.

    • V10 Cyclone has bigger bin capacity, around 50% more.

  • Dyson is doing another eBay live event on 12 July at 12pm

It says further 20% off on selected models but unsure which models are included

    • Worth hodling for I hope
      Wanting to swap the V8

      • I can see v15 detect absolute is included

  • PLJULY not working for me, is deal still active?

    • Now that's interesting, the code is still working with other stores, but has been removed for Dyson store…

    • Working again now. They must have removed the store during the weekend to run the Live Event… the store $30 code ends today.

  • I bought a V10 Konical for $469 but ended up returning it. The box had no marks on it, as you’d expect from similar deals.

The best feature of the new V8 vacuums imo is the auto empty dock, yes robot vacuums have really made me this lazy.

It’s much cheaper to buy the V10 Konical bundle with the auto emptying dock from Dyson ($639.20 with code EXTRA20) vs buying them separately ($469 + $289 = $758).

It also makes it comparable in price to buying a V8 Cyclone + the auto empty dock, plus you get the motorised head from the V16 which is $280 separately. The attachments are the biggest difference between the V8 Cyclone and V10 Konical as far as I can see, really no idea why this is named the V10.

If you are more brand agnostic, Dreame has the Z20 on sale for $399 with the auto empty dock and that’s a much better vacuum - but also much heavier.

I learnt my lesson with the Gen5detect that heavier, more powerful vacuums really have no benefit for cleaning hard floors or cars and I gave that one away to relatives and bought a V12 slim.

I’m hoping that the V10 Konical with the auto empty dock would be the perfect home vacuum for me, and I can retire my OG V8 to be used as a workshop vac.
