  • Bought a pack already. So far so good.

I really like that it is replaceable standard CR2032 battery. Without the need for a charging port it makes it really thin and light.

  • As with all these type of trackers, it's only either network and not combined both networks for maximum tracking right?

    • Yep

    • What do you mean by this?

      • I think they mean, these have to be toggled to either Android network or Apple network. After that, they can only be found on that network. There is no way to have the tag visible on both networks at the same time (which would obviously give maximum tracking ability).

        • Are there any that allow both networks to be enabled at one time? I don't own any Apple products to track using their network, but I feel like theirs would be far more beneficial than the Android one.

          • @XVX: No idea, sorry, the few that I've seen (with me not being an expert) meant you had to choose 1 network or another

          • @XVX: Apple is a broader network in Australia, but Android is multitudes larger in Asia. Dunno about EU marketshare.

  • just checked mi.com (AU) and getting around the same price with a 50% off coupon i had in my account (4 pack). maybe amazon is better for returns though.

i also had something else in there so might have tipped it over for free shipping ($69 min).

are these better than ugreen ones?

  • Xiaomi or UGREEN? similar price range.

    • Ugreen has usb c charging. Interesting, might get that.

    • Depends. Ugreen = usb c charged, Xiaomi is CR20232. Apparently the Xiaomi has better weather resistance, With the UGreen, you have to be sure you pick the right one for the right platform, but xiaomi just does both.

      Sizewise:

      • UGREEN FineTrack: 36 × 36 × 7–7.4 mm
      • Xiaomi Tag: 46.5 × 31 × 7.2 mm

      So Ugreen is slightly smaller

      • Ugreen has a version that support both platforms.

  • Hey guys just wondering I have a Samsung and wife has an iPhone, I understand I can only track this either/or but wouldn't this be better than Samsung smart tag 2 coz this way I'll be able to switch phones if ever I'm in a location where there aren't enough androids in the area?

    • Samsung's are Samsung only and new ones have UWB for more precise local tracking,vs Android Find which works for most Androids and no UWB,vs Apple which is linked to Apple devices and also UWB

  • I read that Apple's ones use UWB. I am not finding any mention of that on Xiaomi's product. Does it support that?

    • NO UWB in Xiaomi tag

      • Thanks
