  I bought the MFC-L2750DW 7 years ago and it's still going strong. Almost identical to this one I think. It gets a lot of use.

  The single pass double-sided scan is absolutely worth the extra $ above the lesser model, IMO.

  I can still use the compatible toners. I've gone through at least 20 x of the "high yield" ones. They don't last the advertised 3,000 pages but they're still significantly cheaper than the genuine toner. I've never used a genuine toner other than the one that came with the unit, which also didn't last the advertised pages.

  I will be replacing mine with this MFC-L2880DW or similar when the time comes.

  Got this exact model recently and it is fantastic, I am so happy not to be wrestling with inkjet nozzles that dry out, syringes to refill affordably, etc. And printing direct from mobile phones is really handy too.

    How often do you print?
    20 years ago we had a laser printer, and we printed only few times a month (we lived in an area with limited access to public printing services thus we owned one printer). The cartridge kept drying out.

    been through that stage; unless you print a lot of colour pages, its not worth it. Compared to 50c colour print from you know where, it costs more to print at home and is not as good quality.
    OW now can charge to CC directly and not. having to buy the prepaid card. I don't work for OW

  Generic toners are almost 50% more expensive than the for previous generation of Brother Laser Printers so if anyone has a working 2750 or it’s variants don’t be too eager to replace unless broken

    The is the chip tax on these printers. And no guarantee they will work after firmware updates. Stopping firmware updates is not working for many people atm either - just keep that in mind.

  Still rocking a brother MFC L27300W from forever ago it's been flawless, but the kids are wanting to print color now.
