High in glyphosate too apparently, our standards allow 15x more then New Zealand.

Would that not be true of all our crops?

High ?
The study you are referring to, found the level at about one tenth of what Australia considers safe.
This is the opposite of high 🤷
If you want to campaign to reduce Australia's safety limit then let's find some evidence that it needs reducing, and then do that - there's no need to spread falsehoods.

Yes high.
Safe, is one thing, daily consumption of a known carcinogenic, which is many products and thus compounds in the human body. Not only is it bad for us, but bad for the soil microbial, ground water and lastly and mostly importantly insects. I'm not saying to not consume them at all, had 16 myself in the last two days, but don't be fooled, daily consumption is not good for you or your child or the paddocks, opt for organic where you can. Marketing BS too, the iron in weetbix is not very bioavailable, i treat them as a desert/treat, not optimum nutrition.

Ah that's why they taste so much better here

Than what… cardboard? My money is on the cardboard. I've been eating weet-bix for years, but to suggest that it has a good taste… well that's just an oxymoron.

That's why you use milk, sugar, honey, whatever you need

@gcheap: Hot liquid + weetbix = soggy mess, horrific stuff. Weetbix is fine if still crunchy, something that can only really be achieved by eating it very very fast.

Isn't that the same product they sell in NZ?
- 0

Just as well because NZ is poorer than us.

They've annoyingly pulled the Organic variety. Refuse to buy it now, and any others for that reason.

Man, that’s a shame. One of the very best cereals and I’d occasionally purchase it when normal weet-bix wasn’t on special.
However I imagine when people compared the cost of the normal and organic they wouldn’t justify the price difference.

Yum yum , someone made cup cakes from weet bix

Millions of Aussies born and bred on the good old weetbix…
Weetbix were often breakfast lunch and tea growing up in the country 😋
"mum I'm hungry…there's plenty of Weetbix left over now shut your yapping son…" While mum and dad sucked back their VBs and Winnie blues 😂 😂 oh the memories

kiwis were told that 'Kiwi kids are weetbix kids' lmao

Why don't these taste like cardboard like the Aldi version?
- 1

What if I told you they come out of the same factory…

Hard to believe because they taste so different

With chopped bananas and ice cold milk, or add warm milk and a teaspoon of sugar for a good start on a wintery morning 👍
