Usually there's a code you put in that voids the booking fee, but the code is at the cinema. You can still use for phone to buy the tickets using the code to void the booking fee.

Where did you get this code to void the booking fee? I've usually just used gift cards like this in person at the cinema to avoid the fees

At my local Hoyts they display the code on a screen above the self-service ticket machines.
