It's nuts, I don't know the whole story but heard there was a cocoa shortage/issue years ago to bump the price up but it just keeps going up. 3-4 year ago 1/2 price cadbury 180-200g was $2-$2.50. Now the cheapest you get is $4 which is about what its regular price was then.
@Headless: Same happened with potato chips, though they haven't just kept going up like chocolate.

I was going to ask why you would buy these when you can get a big one for $8, but these are cheaper /kg.
The big ones will be cheaper per/kg in a week or two when they go on special. Also, the big ones are now $9 at Coles.

Edit based on Price per gram, the 250g bars are the same price as this, $0.03 per gram.
