Deals like this seem to come up from time to time so I try to have $60 or $80 worth of points banked at all times.

During Xmas shoppers tend to splurge more and spend more on discretionaries with higher profit margins for Woolies, while essential goods aren't discounted as much.
If you want Qantas points, and have already hit Points Club Plus, it's a good way to have a load ready for the start of your next membership year. Of course PC/PC+ is ending, so that won't matter going forward.

What happened if you don't mind me asking? Did Woolies ban all your Rewards accounts? Can you not just make a new account?
It started with one account not receiving the 2 factor auth code followed by the others saying incorrect password. When you scan the card it says "temporary card expired". Luckily I'd already claimed all the rewards $.
temporary card expired means your account has been nuked. Were they old gmail +/. accounts?
@timedzone: A half decent security team can spot the Gmail trick a mile away. Amazed that it took them years to jump on it and add 2FA. They've also reduced generosity on new accounts. Time to find a new game.
@Choc0: They don't really bother if you just spend the pts within their ecosystem. Whereas they have been targeting qf conversions for quite a few years. Even legitimate accounts got closed down simply for getting too many pts from gift card sales.
I think the latest wave of account closure stemmed from the same event that caused them to temporarily stop edr$ to GC conversion.

You'll get an email notification about the offer if you are targeted, but email notifications can be delayed. You can check the app itself if you want to check if you got targeted or not.
