      With batteries you generally get what you pay for. Definitely would go duracell over those. Cheapo ebay ones have always made me feel like im changing batteries 2-3x more often.

        Been using the Kmart ones and have been loving it, while I can’t comment whether they are better than Duracell, but they last much longer than most CR2032 I bought from Amazon and ebay

      These last way longer. The maxell ones last around 9 months in mine, while these haven’t need a change.

      I bought these duracell ones from supermarket and they work so well compared to the cheap kmart/amazon/ebay ones, those literally lasted couple of weeks before running low while these have been going for months now still going strong. (in my car keys)

        I wont mix the kmart one with the amazon/ebay
        I use the kmart one to put into airtags and car remotes and they can last for a year before battery runs out
        while most ebay ones cannot last more than 2 months

        if you look at the CR2032 packages from kmart /anko
        each battery cell is wrapped with hard plastic (requires scissor to cut out before using)
        most cheap ones in ebay / amazon are just wrapped thin plastic in the front, and paper at the back

    I'm a recent Anko CR2032 convert. Most of my use is for very low-power long-life (1+ year) devices (eg Xiaomi temp and humidity sensors) where the natural batteries drain is the major factor, so Anko should be great value-for-money. I should know more in 12 months or so.

      The major factor for those particular sensors is the lack of capacitor on pads C24/C25. When it tries to transmit with the battery half-drained without the capacitor installed, the momentary current draw drops the voltage below which the sensor can operate.

      Even factoring in leakage current, installing a capacitor on those pads can extend the usable battery life by many months.

      As for Anko no-brand batteries, I wouldn't expect too much from those in regards to usable capacity and the internal resistance.

        I have flashed them with custom firmware and got pretty good life (approx 1yr 2 - 4 months) out of my previous set of mostly Duracell CR2032s. I only recently replaced them with Ankos, so only time will tell if they are good value.

    any one know if they are short dated. last time I bought on sale batteries from Amazon they were a month of the expiry date and they definitely showed it with a lifetime in carkeys well under a year.

            @hamza23: pretty sure it was Amazon, but was a couple of years ago now and seems to be on an account I don't have anymore as not showing in my order history. Have not bought batteries on there since.

              @gromit: Amazon used to comingle stock, but stopped earlier this year. When they used to do it, it could cause problems with people getting fakes with items such as batteries, even if they were buying from what should have been a reputable seller on Amazon, such as Amazon themselves.

          Explain that 1 month expiry on a 4 pack of batteries isn't acceptable, as it was not advertised as short dated and shelf life is generally 5-10 years.

      Probably were fakes, i have come across many battery purchases over the last few years where the batteries only last a few months in my car keys instead of years. I was told they are probably fakes and theres plenty of them going around apparently

    fyi the coating causes problems in airtags, you need to clean them with alcohol first and remove the anti-child coating.

    Funny, I just needed some of these for PCs with dead bios batteries last week, so I ordered 4 Panasonic (2 x 2 packs) for $7.00, as these apparently have a ten year shelf life so it's safe to store them until future bios batteries run out.     Amazon is sold out, there is a 3rd party seller that displays now (shipped by Amazon) for $7.79, but their reviews are average. No sub & save. Might be fine since its fulfilled by amazon, but you might prefer to get it from Bunnings with One Pass delivery. edit Amazon back for now. Carry on.

          Ah yeah. I have previously noticed that stock levels are better on my Business account, things are out of stock on regular account are in stock on business account. Not sure if its an error or on purpose to give preference to business accounts.

    I bought Duracell 2032 two years ago to replace my Car key remote battery. 2 yrs later and it's showing signs of needing a replacement.
    I also put this battery in my little temperature/RH sensor but it went flat 2 months ago.

    I recently saw the Kmart Anko one at checkout for $5 (4x 2032) so will know how that holds up in due time.

    Oh and my Duracell ones expire 2031. Kmart ones are Jan-2029. So maybe that's why Kmart had them on special at checkout.

      If they work fine for you, then all good. These days you just gotta be careful of fake or low capacity cells which have flooded the market, they typically only last a few months or a few weeks before power dies.

    Read the review and save your hassle. Lots of Jun 2026 reviews reporting that expired battery which mean someone got it free from disposal then sell it here. If there is a sticker on it then the expiry date on under it, lol.

      $7.79 is for the third party seller with fairly average reviews (81% positive). Might be okay as it's fulfilled by Amazon but I wouldn't risk it for $0.15.
