  • I've had Rise of the Ronin on my wishlist for a while, glad I held off. Says it should be available now but still says $124 for me, though.

    • still says $124 for me

Fark me, and some people say we shouldn't be upset about PS6 dropping physical games.

      $68 preowned at EB
      https://www.ebgames.com.au/product/ps5/303395-rise-of-the-ro…

      • It's been $34 brand new at JB.

        • And you can sell it once done and don't want to collect.

        • This. I bought it last Xmas for $34, played it, platinumed it, enjoyed it a ton, then sold it to CEX for $18. Was well worth the balanced $16 I paid for those 50+ hours of enjoyment.

          • @Xianese: How dare you deprive Sony Interactive Entertainment from their entitled revenue? And won’t somebody think of the shareholders?

      • Grabbed it for $28 at EB last Black Friday sale.

      • Could be as low as $34 essentially if you mange to line up some good picks with the Buy 2 Get 2 free deal they have in store at the moment.

  • Got Avatar on disc a month ago on sale has been such a massive slow grind currently level 7 and lost interest too much repetivie missions.

    • Ubisofts games in a nutshell for the last 10 years

      • They're not meant to be blitzed in one go over a single weekend. They offer straight-forward familiar pickup and play for people to fit in a couple hours here and there around their busy lives. They're perfect games for that.

        • Oh I know. I played AC Odyssey (well, slogged through it) and platinumed it but the repetitive loop of the side quests was a drag and I couldn't get through Valhalla or Shadows for that same reason. Thought, never again.

And I loved the OG AC games (currently playing AC Black Flag Resynced because I think it's the last game of theirs that hooked me).

Edit: and don't get me started on their Star Wars game… holy clunky, unfinished release

          • @Ethan Bargain-Hunt: As someone that used to Platinum hunt (stopped after a kid), I never understood the people that chase Platinums when they're actively hating a game…

            • @Xianese: I'd enjoyed the AC games up until Odyssey and wanted to like that too, so I saw it through (being at uni and not having kids or priorities also meant more time to spare). But since then, that's where I see Ubisoft having hitting a wall and haven't platinum hunted their stuff

              • @Ethan Bargain-Hunt: I still platinum finish a game if it's
                1) not onerous
                2) enjoyable

For example I just got the platinum for Spiderman 2. All in under 30 hours
It's a game I really enjoyed and was easy enough

                • @maverickjohn: Yeah it's a pick and choose battle! I'm past the days of trying to do that for everything I play. Spiderman 2 is a good example, platinumed that as well, and stuff like Ragnarok, Ghost of Tsushima etc.

          • @Ethan Bargain-Hunt: Outlaws was apparently rough at launch, but in its current state is a lot of fun (though this is from someone who is not a fan of Star Wars).

    • You gotta play those Far Cry style games co-op, it's the only thing that keeps it entertaining.

    • Similar experience. Played it for a bit the day I downloaded it then never touched it again.

    • Hey mate can you dm me? My accounts new so cant dm for first 24 hours

  • Power Rangers!!!! My psn sub paying off again

    • Its a bit bland imo, I saw the cover at JB a while bavk and was interested…. many months later I grabbed it on Steam during a sale. The alternate battle scenes are nice…. but the 2d side scrolling beat em up parts are borderline generic…… not as much fun as the classics like SOR, FF, TMNT (or even the SNES MMPR games back in the 90s).

  • I had an itch for a brainless Ubisoft open world game recently, but Outlaws scratched that itch. I don't particularly care about Star Wars or Avatar, so if this was announced for PSPlus first, I probably would have enjoyed it (as I did Outlaws), but I've scratched that itch now, and I'm sure by the time it pops up next, there will be a new Far Cry.

  • Indigo Prophecy Is only PS4
